How To Get The Bindings Of The Windseeker

Although this quest chain can be completed onany class, onlyhunters, paladins, rogues, death knights, andwarriorswill get theachievement ‘Did Someone Say…‘when wielding Thunderfury.

to start thequest chainto get this legendary sword, you must first get the right and leftBindings of the Windseeker. These drop fromtwo bossesin theMolten Core raid,GarrandBaron Geddon, Garr dropping the left side and Baron Geddon dropping the right. These can drop onany difficulty, but only have about afour percent dropchance, leaving it up to luck.

TheMolten Coreraid is located in theBurning Steppesin theEastern Kingdoms. Foralliancemembers, the fastest way is simplyflying up from Stormwind; forHorde, take theStranglethorn zepplinand fly up from there. Once in theBurning Steppes, head intoBlackrock Mountain, the large structure northwest, via themain entrance.

Head inside and, once in the main room, you’ll notice astructure in lava straight aheadwith a chain attached. Fly over and talk to the NPC,Lothos Riftwalker, to be immediatelyteleported inside.

Now that you’re in the raid, simplyfollow the path straight downand defeatGarrat the end of the room, then headimmediately leftto findBaron Geddon, who will be patrolling the area. If you’re unlucky, you will have to run this raid several times to get both bindings.

How To Start The Quest Chain

Now that you’ve gotten yourbindings, head to an NPC namedHighlord DemetrianinSilithus. He is located at the coordinates 29.6 10.6, at the topmost point ofThe Crystal Vale. He will give you your first quest,‘Examine the Vessel’, which will just have you using an item that he gives you.

IfHighlord Demetrianisn’t showing up, try talking toZidormiatValor’s Restto take you back in time.

After that, he will give you ‘Thunderaan the Windseeker’, requiring you to return with bothbindings, oneEssence of the Firelord, andten Enchanted Elementium Bars. Getting anEssence of the Firelordis easily, as it is a guarnteed drop fromRagnarosin theMolten Coreraid when this quest is active, but theEnchanted Elementium Barsare a different story.

How To Get Enchanted Elementium Bars

There are two main ways to approach getting the bars you need:making them yourself, orbuying them off the Auction House, both of which are costly in their own ways.

If you are looking to make them, you will first need a character in the same realm that has a level300 Classic Mining Skill. Next, the character must learn theElementium Bar Recipefrom theGoblin’s Guide to Elementiumlooted fromMaster Elemental Shaper Krixixin theBlackwing Lair, with a drop rate of 26 percent.

Or, if you don’t feel doing the grind yourself, you’re able to buyEnchanted Elementium Barsfrom theAuction House, but they are costly, at about2,000 goldeach.

Now that you’ve gotten all the materials, turn in ‘Thunderaan the Windseeker’.Highlord Demitrianwill immediately summonThunderaan, which once defeated will drop theDormant Wind Kissed Blade.

Deliver this to Highlord Demitrian and you will have yourlegendary weapon.
