Wonder weapons are some of the most powerful weapons inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6Zombies mode, though acquiring them can be tough. While the mystery box offers a chance for you to get one by chance, crafting them is a more reliable option, though not always easy and requires multiple steps.
With the release of Citadelle des Morts, we didn’t just get one wonder weapon; we got four elemental swords as wonder weapons. Each of them requires you to acquire a sword and upgrade it to its corresponding elemental state. This guide will cover all the steps to obtain the lightning sword, Durendal.
How To Get The Durendal Sword
Much like the other elemental swords in Citadelle des Morts, you first need toget your hands on a stampanduse it on the corresponding knight statuein the throne room.
For those curious about how to obtain the sword,here’s a section detailing the steps.
For the lightning sword, use the stampon the knight with the deer crest, which is the first statue on the left side.
Afterward, you’ll need to findthree lightning rods scattered around the map.
First Lightning Rod Location
The nearest lightning rod is locked and located just to theleft of the Deadshot machineon the west side of the map.
Second Lightning Rod Location
The second lightning rod requires you to have theDead Wire ammo mod on your weapon. Once you have it, head to theunderpass near the Speed Cola machine.
There, you’ll finda fuse box on the wall near the stairs. Shoot it, and it will spawn the second lightning rod for you.
Third Lightning Rod Location
The third lightning rod appears to bea random drop from a zombie, but we had better luck finding itin the underground area of the castle.
Sometimes, we were able to find it on the ground after dealing with multiple zombies in the underground level, thoughwe’re not entirely sure of the exact conditions.
Get The Lightning Sword
Now that you have acquired all three lightning rods,make your way to the right side of the cannon, where you’ll find what looks like avase. Interact with it toplace all three lightning rodsyou’ve found.
Doing so will trigger a thunderstorm, causing zombies to spawn and attack you. Your task is to kill zombies andwait for your sword to become electrified.
Once your sword is electrified, melee the vase where you placed the rods and repeat this processthree timesto fully electrify the vase.
Afterward, you’ll be able to place your sword and obtain the lightning sword, known as theDurendal Sword.
