WhileRomancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Sevenis usually very good at telling you where to go and what to do to complete quests and get precious items, there are still plenty of things that are up to you to stumble upon. One such thing involves the Magic Stone Fragment, an important item that you’ll receive upon completion of the Ludon Mines quest.
This magical stone can be turned into a very powerful item, and the game is pretty secretive about how to go about doing that. The reward is perhaps one of the most powerful accessories in the game, so it’s worth doing.
What To Do With The Magic Stone Fragment
Upon completion of the quest set in Ludon Mines that involves a magic crystal making people sick, you’ll automatically receive a Magic Stone Fragment upon destroying the crystal.
This item should betaken to themoles found in the mole den, which is accessible via the Termite Den throughSavannah.

The head Mole here will gladly take the Magic Stone Fragment and turn it into theDarkstone Ring, which is a very powerful accessory. Itincreases magic defenceby a huge amount and, crucially, is one of the few sources ofCharm immunityin the game (making it perfect fortaking on Rocbouquet).
You will need to be wary with the Darkstone Ring! Whenever you sleep with one of your party members having it equipped,the wearer will drain some LP from all other party members during the night.
It’s best to heal up by visiting the castle when you have the Darkstone Ring equipped (or, alternatively, use this function to restore an important character’s LP at the expense of less important characters' LP).
