No matter which open-world Survival Crafting game you play, there will always be a tier system to upgrade your gear and progress the game, and this is no different forSengoku Dynasty. You start with simple tools created with stone and sticks, and you may slowly go all the way up to steel.

To upgrade these equipment tiers, you’ll need to farm a specific metal each time, and Iron is one of them. It’ll take you quite a few hours before you can even think of Iron Age, but it’s not a hard resource to find once you’re there.

Where To Get Iron In Sengoku Dynasty

While playing Sengoku Dynasty, you’ll first arrive at the ruins of Sosogi Village, which is likely where you set up your first village. When you look at the map, you’ll see certain regions with Iron Ore as the village resource source, though this doesn’t mean that you can only find Iron in these areas.

It merely means that you’ll see Iron on the surface of these areas, andyou can go around it while mining these nodes. However, there are other places where you’re able to easily find Iron - caves. These can be found all across the map, and here are some of the best locations:

Apart from all this, you can also automatically farm Ironby creating a village in the resource area and using the Miner’s Workplace to get your villagers to do the job for you.

How To Mine Iron

While you’re able to reach Iron Ore even at the beginning of the game, you won’t be able to get it just yet. If you want to mine Iron, you’ll first have tomake a Bronze pickaxeor a higher-tier tool.

This will allow you to hit the Iron Ore. You can also increase the amount of Ore you get from each nodeby upgrading the Efficient Miner in the Legend tab. Finally, you can sometimes get Iron Ore randomly while defeating enemy camps or browsing the inventory of certain traders.

What Is Iron Used For?

As you equip a hammer and browse the production building tab, you’ll see a building called Smithy. However, thiswon’t unlock until you get an Iron Ore, and is also the main thing you’ll need Iron for. After building a Smithy, you’ll be able to craft high-tier tools and weapons in it.

Most of these things will require some Iron. If you can set up an automatic Iron farm, you can alsouse it to make tools for your villagers, which will last much longer than copper or stone tools.
