As soon as you click on the new game option ofStalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl, you’ll quickly find yourself inside the radiation-filled area called The Zone. While your journey here starts from wanting to avenge your house being burnt by an artifact, you’ll be signed up for a lot more than you asked for.
There And Back Again is the first main quest that starts as soon as you finish the first cutscene, and you’ll quickly see what type of game this is as you’ll have to find your way around the terrain to reach your destinations.
How To Get Past The Sewers
As soon as the starting cutscene ends and you control your character, you’ll see a giant wall with glowing bits in front.The main entry will be to the left of these glowing bits. Once you enter, you can follow the path on your left and crouch through some of the objects until you reach a door blocked by wooden planks.
You can easilyremove these planks and the lock on the next door with your knife. Once past the door with the lock, you’ll enter the sewer system where you’ll find an electric anomaly. Wait for the anomaly to go forward and then follow its path until you see another path going on your left, which you can follow out of the sewers.
How To Get In The Mobile Lab
Once you jump down from the sewers, you’ll have to defeat your first mutant and thenyou can follow the main mission mark on your scale at the top. This will take you directly to the mobile lab through some house ruins It’s recommended to explore these ruins as you can get some ammo and other survival items in them.
As you follow the path, you’ll eventually reach the mobile base that you may climb through the ladders on one of its sides. As you get to the top, use the stairs to get to the hatch andstand on the wooden structure beside it to trigger a cutscene, which will lead you inside.
In the bunker, you’ll find multiple bodies and a ton of loot. You’ll also find Nehoda’s body in theroom at the very end along with a switch to turn on the lights. Take the items from his body and head back to the first room in the lab, where you’ll find a laptop to extract the coordinates of the three scanner sites.
After getting back out of the bunker, you’llfind a pool of toxins nearbywhere you’ll get your first artifact.
Simply move in the direction where theblue light on the detector gets more aggressiveand you’ll reach it. You can then equip the artifact from your inventory.
Right after getting the artifact, you’ll face a special mutant that can go invisible until it gets close enough to attack you. It’s important to track this enemy’s movements and shoot its aura as it gets closer so that you can prevent the attackwhile dealing damage to it.
Where To Find Scanner Locations
The last part of the quest will lead you to three scanner locations, which you can easily reach byfollowing the main quest marker on your scaleand keeping these instructions in mind:
Once you place the scanner in the third location, the prologue and this quest will come to an end.
