A little while intoFantasian Neo Dimension, you’ll unlock the Dimengeon, a tool that lets you lock away enemies to fight later. There is a specific type of enemy that is never trapped in the Dimengeon though and you must fight them as soon as they are encountered - Funi.
Funi are special enemies. You don’t actually defeat them, but do whatever they ask of you in exchange for a reward. They offer rewards you may’t get anywhere else, though completing their challenges isn’t always so easy. Here’s everything you need to know about Funi.
What Are Funi?
Funi are treasure enemies. That basically means that they aren’t like your typical enemy and offer up a substantial reward when defeated. Except you don’t defeat Funi in the traditional way either. Rather, they will ask you for a series of items and then certain types of attacksto mix up their pot. This in turns creates their items.
These items are always Jewels, though they are the only guaranteed source of the majority of Jewels. In fact, there are quite a few jewels that can only be obtained from Funi. The more powerful a jewel is, the harder it will be to complete their challenges.
Thankfully, you can also choose when to stop. If you get a stage completed and feel like you can’t quite do better, then you can stop and get that jewel as a reward. This only applies to jewels with extra levels, like Garnets and Sapphires.
Where To Battle Funi
Funi are in quite a lot of the game’s locations, though the first area they appear in is the Ancient Hill. Many areas further on from this have a chance for Funi to appear, and each area has certain jewels they offer.
Here is a list ofevery location that we can confirm Funi spawn in, and what jewels they drop:
Elemental Trials
Garnet, Amber, Amethyst, Sapphire, Onyx, Diamond.
The tasks the Funi will task you to change. They will always ask foritems first, such as Ethers or Potions, and will finally ask for an attack. This is always one of three things - asingle massive attack, cumulative damage, or certain elemental attacks.
Before tackling Funi, you’ll want tohave Ez cast Quick Allon the party, and then use either Cheryl or Valrika toslow the Funi. You will have to sacrifice two turns for this, but you’ll gain many more in turn. You only have a few turns to complete their tasks, so you’ll want as many turns as you can muster.
And that’s everything you need to know about Funi. There’s no real way to make them spawn any faster, though they’re not especially rare if you’re actively looking for them.
