InI Am Future, your character uses tools to interact with rooftop objects, scavenging materials that help you build technological advancements and essential items for your base. This makes life on the rooftop easier. However, as you’ve likely experienced, not all materials are easy to obtain.

To gather them, you must upgrade your tools, and sometimes even complete specific tasks. One of the hardest materials to obtain is the Fiberglass Rod, which requires you to complete several tasks. In this guide, we’ve detailed all the tasks needed, so you may successfully acquire the Fiberglass Rod.

What Does The Fiberglass Rod Do?

There is only one Fiberglass Rod in the game. It allows you toupgrade your Reinforced Hammer to a Riveting Hammer, which is an essential tool. The Riveting Hammer is critical becauseit enables you to destroy the large purple flowersthat spawn leeches.

How To Obtain The Fiberglass Rod

There isn’t a specific location to find the Fiberglass Rod. Instead, you need tocomplete the’Housewarming Party’task to acquire it.This quest is quite extensive and requires completing various tasks throughout the game.

Complete The Tutorial Tasks

To obtain the Fiberglass Rod, you must firstcomplete the tutorial tasks.Once these are finished, the in-game time counter will start running, allowing you to proceed with additional quests.

Clear the way and get out

To complete this task, you must firstretrieve the Cybernetic Hand from the Dead Tree.Once equipped, use it to pull out the Fossilized Root. This is the first task you need to accomplish in the game.

Open the Suitcase

Interact with the Suitcaseon the ground to change your character’s appearance.

Examine the fridge

The player is carrying two planks in I Am Future.

You need tointeract with the Fridge.

Find the fridge battery

Next to the Fridge, you’ll find a box.Open it, and the Battery inside will drop to the ground.

You need toinsert the Battery you found into the Fridge.

Sleep on the deck chair

You need to repair the broken ladder. To do this, first, pick up the saw and cut wooden objects to obtain Planks. Afterward,repair the ladder and then rest on the deck chair to sleep.

Help Earl

On your first night, you will see a leech on Earl. You need toremove the leech from Earl.

Remove infected weeds

The player is completing the ‘Housewarming Party’ task in I Am Future.

On your first night, you’ll need to pull out Infected Weeds. Afterward, you mustcollect the StopWeed Sprayand use it to eliminate the remaining Infected Weeds. Then,deal with the leech on the door above Earl’s behindusing the spray. Once this is done, the tutorial section of the game will be completed. The Workbench will be unlocked, and you’ll gain access to the Dock where you can start fishing.

Build The Bridge

After completing the tutorial, one of the tasks you will receive is to build the bridge. This is quite a long task and requires a lot of resources. However, theFiberglass Rod is not available on your current base rooftop.Therefore, you will need tocomplete the bridge to reach the Hotel Rooftop.Here are the resources required to complete the bridge:

Bridge Foundation

you’re able to obtain planks from trees or other objects. Keep in mind that as long as the trees continue to grow, you can gather an infinite amount of planks from them.

First Row of Columns

You can craft Nails at the Workbench. Each Nail requires 2 Scrap Metal. Additionally, you can find Nails by scavenging around the rooftop.

Second Row of Columns

The best way to obtain Metal Frames is by crafting them using the Resource Printer. To craft one Metal Frame, you will need 2 Metal Pipes. To craft 1 Metal Pipe at the Workbench, you’ll need 2 Scrap Metals.

Third Support Columns

You can obtain Sheet Metals by exploring the rooftop, through expeditions, or by using the Mechanical Press. To obtain Foam Panels, you will need to upgrade your Resource Printer. Each Foam Panel requires 2 Plastic.

Find Mariquinn And Prospero

There’s still a lot to do before you can obtain the Fiberglass Rod. While continuing to build the bridge, you also need to find Mariquinn and Prospero. They are talking machines, just like Earl. You can find them by completing these tasks:

Explore the open zone

You need togo to the area with the second door on the rooftop.Here, you will see a door in front of the stairs leading up. You must interact with this door.

Repair the burnt-out fuse box

You need to repair the fuse box on this door. For this,you will need 2 Transformers and 1 Microchip.You can craft the Transformers at the Workbench. The Microchip can be found through fishing or by interacting with other objects on the rooftop to gather these items.

Repair the smart tower

You also need torepair the Smart Tower on the rooftop.Once repaired, you’ll obtain a drone, which you can send on expeditions. Through these expeditions, you will be able to find Mariquinn and Prospero.

Start expedition

After repairing the Smart Tower, you’re able to begin expeditions by interacting with it. During expeditions, you can send your drone to various locations, including markets. However, sending it to markets requires U-Coins. You can obtain U-Coins through Crypto Farms.

Examine the plane crash site

When you start the expedition,click on the Crashed Airplaneand send your drone there. You need to reach the cockpit of the plane, and thepassword for the cockpit is 2619.Once your drone reaches the cockpit, Mariquinn will come to your base as a reward.

Help Prospero

To find Prospero, you need tounlock the Business Center area, located to the north of the Home area in the expedition. To do this, you will need toupgrade the Smart Tower.In the Business Center’s Amusement Park, Prospero will give you a task. For this task, you need to find a Crystal Ball, a Microchip, and a Battery. You canget the Crystal Ball from the Arcade in the Business Center.Once you bring all of these items to Prospero, he will join your base.

Move Prospero and say hi to him in his new spot

Once Prospero arrives at your base, you will need to move him from the drone area to a new location. To do this, you mustuse the Journal tab in the Construction Panel.After moving him, speak with him to start the’Housewarming Party’quest.

Complete Housewarming Party Task

After bringing Mariquinn and Prospero to your base and starting the “Housewarming Party” task, you will need to complete the bridge construction. Once that’s done, there will be only a few more tasks left to finish.

After building the bridge, head to Hotel’s Rooftop and you’ll be able to see the stage. As you approach it, this task will be completed.

You need to prepare a Burger at the Campfire for Earl. To make the Burger, you will need the following ingredients:
