Atlyssis an RPG that features fast-paced combat, which will keep you on your toes as you battle against a horde of unique creatures and bosses. If you’re not well-prepared, you will easily get overwhelmed by these monsters in this unique fantasy world.

Lord Zuulneruda is a repeatable boss that might give you a lot of trouble the first time you encounter it inside the Sanctum Catacombs. But, if you study its attacks and level up a little, you will be able to comfortably fight against this boss and emerge victorious against it quite easily.

How To Find Lord Zuulneruda

After you’ve hit level 6, you can fight Lord Zuulnerudainside the Sanctum Catacombs. There are three stages in the Sanctum Catacombs, each depicting the recommended level bracket for that stage. You can unlock a stage by hitting the lowest recommended level on it.

Lord Zuulnerudacan be found in the secondor middle stage, where the recommended levels are shown to be fromlevel 6 to level 12.

Thedungeon resets every time you enter it, so it is difficult to pinpoint the boss' location on the map. But, you can always find the path to the boss' arena after finishing all the trials.

After clearing up the stage, you have tolook for a small room with a purple portalin the middle of it. Stepping on the purple portal will teleport you to Lord Zuulneruda, who will be in its petrified form, and will break out of it as you approach it.

After hitting level 6, you can also receive a quest to defeat Lord Zuulneruda from Enok, the Fighter Guardian, who can be found inside the barracks in the Inner Sanctum. If you’ve already defeated the boss, you can head to the dungeon to defeat it again for an extra reward.

Lord Zuulneruda Boss Battle Preparations

While the dungeon unlocks after hitting level 6,Lord Zuulneruda is a level 12 boss, and it can be extremely challenging to battle against it if you’re under level 10. you may attempt to level up by defeating the other enemies in the Sanctum Catacombs till you reachat least level 10 and pick a class.

Once you’ve picked a class and have decent equipment, you’ll be able to take on Lord Zuulneruda comfortably.It is recommended that you bring some Bunpots for healingbecause the fight may take a long time, and the Recovery Skill might not be enough to save you in some cases.

You should also invest a few Skill Points in Class Skills that can help you with crowd control. This will be useful to quickly get rid of the enemies that join Lord Zuulneruda in the middle of the fight.

Lord Zuulneruda Moveset

Lord Zuulneruda relies mostly on ranged attacksand is a lot easier to deal with up close. Most of its ranged attacks can be easily blocked, but it becomes incredibly difficult to do it consistently when the boss calls reinforcements during the middle of the fight.

How To Avoid

Purple Cage

The bossglows purple and shoots a purple cage-like projectile,which goes straight ahead and stops in mid-air for a while.

If you get hit by this projectile, or end up touching it while it’s stuck in mid-air, you will get damaged.

It’s easy to avoid this attack if you’re far away as you only have tomove out of the way and avoid dashing into the cage. However, if you’re standing in its face, you can parry this attack, to avoid it, but the projectile will still come out and will damage you.

The correct way to deal with it is toparry the attack and continue holding the block button to block the projectileas well.

Three Purple Orbs

Lord Zuulnerudasummons three purple orbs, shooting them in your direction. These orbs persist on the ground for a while after crashing.

This attack can be a challenge to deal with as the balls follow you around a little. But, if youdash after the boss has used this attack, you will be able to avoid it.

If you have enough stamina,you might be able to block the entire volley, but you have to keep holding the block button to avoid the persistent damage caused by the orbs after they crash on the ground.

Purple Energy Wave

Lord Zuulneruda willshoot an energy wave out of its mouth. The attack travels in a straight direction andthe boss is unable to movewhile the energy wave is coming out of its mouth.

This attackdeals a ton of damageif you get hit by itand might even shatter your blockif you try blocking it.

Avoiding it is super easy as the boss takes some time to prepare for the attack to come out and the attack travels in a straight direction, so you candash anywhere, and you’ll be able to avoid it.

Twin Punches

In melee range, the boss maystrike you with his fists one after the other.

You canparry this attack easily, even if you get hit by the first punch. This attack only comes out when you’re standing too close to the boss.

How To Defeat Lord Zuulneruda

As the boss battle begins, you have tofocus on staying close to the bosswhile dealing consistent damage and blocking or parrying its attacks. If you’re having trouble, you can also focus on using ranged attacks while trying toavoid its projectiles through movement.

After you’ve taken down half of its HP, Lord Zuulneruda will vanish from the field, andseveral enemies, such as Toxins and Geists, will start attacking you.Lord Zuulneruda will reappear shortly, but you will have to deal with these reinforcements while fighting the boss and avoiding its attacks.

The arena is spacious, so you may keep running while your Recovery Skill comes off cooldown, and then you can heal yourself if you get damaged during the fight. You can also slowly wear down your enemies while also avoiding them byusing jump attacks and then dashing away.

It’s best totake care of the other enemies in the arena firstbefore you resume fighting against Lord Zuulneruda. The boss' attacks are easier to handle without the horde of enemies on your back.

These enemies willcontinue to spawn repeatedlyfor a short while and will stop after you’ve defeated enough of them.

When you’re back to facing Lord Zuulneruda one-on-one, you’re able to continue the strategy from before andstay close to it until you deplete its entire health bar. Make sure you use yourClass Skills that deal significant damageor reduce the boss' armor to end the fight quickly.

Rewards For Defeating Lord Zuulneruda

Lord Zuulneruda will give a ton of experience after being defeated and will also leave behinda large treasure chestin the middle of the arena. The chest may contain random items, which may sometimes include decent equipment and weapons.

Other than that, if you return to Enok and markthe Voice of Zuulneruda quest as complete,you will receive 800 crowns and over 900 exp. Furthermore,you will also receive theGeistlord Ringas a reward for completing this quest.
