After playing through the same timeline a few times, you’re finally making some headway into understanding what happens next inLoco Motive. Part Six deals with the immediate aftermath of the disaster at the end of the previous part, with the Reuss Express meeting an untimely, explosive end.

With this part of the game, you’ll need to think more about each character you’ve played as so far and how best to use their situations, items, and abilities to progress. If you’re struggling with this, however, don’t fret - we have every puzzle solution right here for you.

How To Escape The Cells

With this part, you may now switch between all three characters to solve the puzzles in front of you.

Start byswitching to Arthur and Hermanto find out that Donny and April are close by.

Gathering Items

To get started with the puzzle,switch to Arthur and use the window in the cell doorto peer outside. Here,use your umbrella on the lockeron the left side of the screen. This will knock a small ball into the corridor, but Arthur cannot get it.

Switch to Dianaand have her look outside the cell. Then,use her mouse on the ballto retrieve it.

AsArthur, use thekeyyou picked up way back in the prologue on the toilet andflush it- it’ll end up in Diana’s cell.Have Diana pick up the key and use it on the lockto the right of her cell; she’ll acquire someheavy chains.

Now, we need to get the magnetic ball over to Donny to help him with his plan to get the guard’s keys.

Turns out you need to distract the guard to complete Donny’s plan.

Make sure the water isflowing towards the left, and then, asDiana, place thechainsinside the toilet. This will cause Jimmy to try and stop you, and Donny will manage to nab the cell keys. Thechains will get stuck, though.

How To Get The Chains

As Herman,combine the letter opener with the suction cup bootsin his inventory.

This will leave you with a suction cup -use this on the rusty poleyou can find at the end of Herman’s bed to create a plunger.

Use the plunger on the toiletto get the chains, and thenuse the chains on the window barsto complete this short part of the game.
