Love And Deepspaceunveils yet another shady zone within the N109, Charon. This time, you’ll be investigating the whereabouts of a cursed stone that Sylus would like to purchase. In the process, you may even uncover why Sylus is so intent upon buying this odd rock. Could it be that this little heirloom is more than meets the eye?
Abyssal Splendor is a multi-stage investigation event that takes you on a journey through the heart of Charon alongside Sylus, your trusty protector and (un)friendly tour guide. During the event, you can earn special event memories and even test Sylus’s new combat companion, Sylus: Abysm Sovereign.
The event only runs fromDecember 02 to 4:59 December 16. All items and rewards in the eventwill not be attainableoutside of the event window.
How To Start The Event
To start the Abyssal Splendor event,navigate to the events tab. The event should trigger the moment you enter the events tab and will throw youstraight into the event prologue.
Abyssal Splendor accompanies thelimited-time myth Wish Pool,Where Drakeshadows Fall. As you complete stages of Abyssal Splendor, you will earn rewards and memories thattie into the storylineof Sylus’s second myth story,
How To Complete Gem Hunting Stages
The main portion of the event revolves aroundcompleting Gem Hunting stages. Gem Hunting stages are investigationssimilarto those inIsland SecretsandChansia Journeyin that they are smallsnippets of text conversations. In this case, the text is also accompanied by astory-board style illustrationof the events.
There aretwo sets of stagesin Gem Hunting. The first isCharon: Eastand the second isCharon: West. Both East and West Charon havetwelve investigation locationsto explore.
To enter an investigation stage, you need touse Tracking Bands.
How To Get Tracking Bands
Tracking Bands are a type of currency thatunlocks investigation levelsfor you to explore. Each level requiresone Tracking Bandto unlock, so you willneed 24 Tracking Bands in totalto investigate all areas of the event.
To get Tracking bands, you mustreach certain Encrypted Keycard milestonesin the Event Tasks tab.
Complete Event Tasks toearn Encrypted Keycardsand Diamonds.
Every few hundred or few thousand Encrypted Keycards you collect will grant youone Tracking Band. This may take afew daysto accomplish, but you can earn around nine to ten Tracking Bands on thefirst dayof the event if you are diligent about completing Event Tasks.
How To Unlock Story Stages
There arethree Story Stagesin Abyssal Splendor. The first one is theprologueyou played through upon entering the event. To unlock stages two and three, you need tocomplete all investigations in Charon: East and Charon: Westrespectively.
You canrevisit the event storiesfrom the Love Timeline in Sylus’sWith Him menu, butcannotrevisit individual investigation stages.
Charon: East
There aretwelve investigation locationsin Charon: East, each requiringone Tracking Bandto complete. Each stage is either asingle imageor ashort dialogueof around six chat bubbles accompanied by an image.
Once you havecompleted all investigationsin Charon: East, you willtrigger chapter twoof the event story. You will also receive a comic-book-stylecollage of all the investigation photos.
Charon: West
Charon: Westalso has twelve locationsto investigate, each one following thesame formattingas those in Charon: East. After completing all stages in Charon: West, you willtrigger the third and finalevent story.
You will also receive thefour-star memory, Sylus: Bloodnight Driftafter completing both districts of Charon. There aretwo moreevent-specific memories to collect.
How To Complete Companion Rehearsal
Since Abyssal Splendorruns alongside the Wish Pool for Sylus’s new mythmemories, it provides an opportunity to play-test Sylus’s new combat companion,Sylus: Abysm Sovereign.
In Companion Rehearsal, you willlearn each of the new combat skillsAbysm Sovereign and the player character can use in battle.
You will be able toexperiment with the new weapon, Fiend Reaper, andpractice your combat strategieswith Abysm Sovereign so that you are prepared to use him in a real battle.
you may’t use Sylus: Abysm Sovereign unless you havepulled both Sylus: Abyssal Mark and Sylus: Abyssal Blossomfrom the Where Drakeshadows Fall Wish Pool. You can navigate to the event pool byselecting the Wish iconin the main event UI.
After you complete Companion Rehearsal, you willearn the memory, Sylus: Bloodnight Blaze. You can earn more copies of both Sylus: Bloodnight Blaze and Sylus: Bloodnight Driftfrom Galaxy Explorer explorationsafter the event has ended.
Event Tasks And Rewards
Like with most events, Abyssal Splendor hasassociated Event Tasksto complete. These tasks range frompulling event memoriesfrom the associated event pool (in this case, Where Drakeshadows Fall) to simplylogging into the event UI once a day.
As you complete your Event Tasks, you willearn Encrypted Key Cardsto be spent in theDeal Shop. Encrypted Keycard milestones also grant you more Tracking bands to use in Charon: East and West.
You will needseveral thousand Encrypted Keycardsto unlock all investigation stages in Charon. But don’t worry, you’ll be able to spend these keycards onvaluable resources and event-limited lootin the Deal Shop.
Deal Shop
The Deal Shop is aspecial event shopthat will disappear once Abyssal Splendor has come to an end. You can purchase theevent background music, anAwakening Heart: SSR,stickers,Ascension Crystal Boxes, afully-ranked three-star memory(Sylus: Reckless Living), and more.
With so many days in the event and aplethora of Event Tasksto complete, you caneasily procure more moneythan needed topurchase all the limited itemsin the event shop.
Current And Upcoming Events
Currently, the Wish PoolWhere Drakeshadows Fallruns alongside Abyssal Splendor. You candraw both of Sylus’s myth memoriesfrom this pool betweenDecember 02 and December 16.
Youcannot play Sylus’s new mythwithout having pulledat least one copy of bothmyth memories!Pulling onememory will only allow you toplay half of the chaptersin the myth storyline. Each memory is also part of apowerful Memory Pairthat grants youuseful stat boostsin combat when equipped together.
A new World Underneath Story, Mischief, was also released with the update containing Abyssal Splendor. Itfollows the twins, Luke and Kieranon their typical mischievous adventures. you may read this new story from theWorld Underneath Tab in the main story menu.
From5:00 December 07 to 4:59 December 17, an event offering afree five-star Xavier memorywill be released. This investigation event will coincide with therelease of the next chapter of Xavier’s main storybranch.
