Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghanahas Adol travel all around the island in an attempt to rid it of the sudden influx of monsters that have wreaked havoc on the townspeople and workers, who can no longer do their jobs or leave the confines of their town. As such, he will go through many unique and distinct zones, running into some formidable foes along the way.
The Three Flying Succubi, Ligaty, is one such opponent and is arguably the most challenging encounter Adol faces up to this point as he tries to progress further into the Elderm Mountains. It won’t be easy taking them down, but with solid strategy and execution, you will be on your way to reuniting with Dogi in no time!
Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi Overview In Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana
Ligaty, the Three Flying Succubi,is theseventh bossfight in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana and looks to halt Adol’s progress up theElderm Mountain.This encounter isextremely tough,so you might want tohead into it fully prepared,or you will likely be here for a while.
Regarding Adol’s equipment, we recommend having theBanded Slayerand upgrading it toat least Level 2.Additionally, thePlate Mail andSmall Shieldshould still suffice for this encounter if they areMax Level.You can alsopurchase a better Shield if you think that’s tripping you up,but this build should be more than satisfactory for this battle!
The Banded Slayer is a Sword that can be purchased from Cynthia in Redmont Town for a whopping 24,000 Gold, but that investment is well worth it. If you don’t have the Plate Mail yet, that can also be purchased from Cynthia for 3,500 Gold. Don’t forget to upgrade them before your encounter with the Ligaty!

Level 26is where you want to be when taking on the Ligaty, as it is a very intense battle, requiring lots ofStrength and Defenseto persevere. If you areLevel 24 or less,you shouldfarm the enemies in the regionuntil you areat least Level 25if you want things to be more manageable.
Remember tocheck your equipmentas well and ensure it isupgraded to at least what we have outlined aboveor better. While yourShield can be much better, fully upgrading the Plate Mail will coverthat upnicely, allowing you to grab theBanded Slayer and upgrade it for a massive boostin damage!
How To Defeat Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi In Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana
As outlined above,this encounter can be brutalto deal with, as you arefighting three Succubi simultaneously,forcing you topay attention to and dodge many different attacks from many different angles,giving you almost no time to breathe or attack. Fortunately, if you’re prepared, you may best theLigatypretty convincingly.
Since there arethree of them,andeach one does different attacks,wemay have missed someof their attacks, but thegeneral strategy remains the sameand should still allow you to find success in overcoming their suffocating pressure and chaotic attacks!
Adol - Focus On One Succubus
When the encounter begins,choose one of the three Succubi and focus on thementirely. This means you will essentiallystick to them like glue, constantly attacking them.Not only does thisdefeat them faster,but it alsoprevents that specific Succubus from attacking,making things much more manageable.
You willstill have to watch out for the attacks from the other Succubi,but they are easily avoidable at this stage in the fight. We chose theGreen Succubusas the Red and Blue ones have pretty readable moves that make them easy to avoid. Werecommend you do the same,but that choice is ultimately yours.
It’s also crucial to point out that theLigaty all share the same health pool,meaninglowering it enough will trigger specific eventsin the encounter, which makessingling out one of them crucialif you want to move the battle along and pick them off faster!
Ligaty - Blue Feathers
While you’re pummeling the Green Succubus, theBlue Succubuswill occasionallylaunch a volley of Blue Feathersat you. As soon as yousee the Blue Feathers appeararound the Blue Succubus,begin running up or downto have themland behind you,missing you completely!
Ligaty - Red Comet
TheRed Succubuswill follow up with an attack of her own,flying high above the arenabeforehurtling herself toward youwith tremendous force and speed, essentially becoming aComet.When yousee her begin plummeting toward you,eitherrun up or down, away from herortime your Double Jumpto clear her entirely!
Ligaty - Feather Barrage
After performing their individual attacks, theRed and Blue Succubiwill combine their combat prowessand launch abarrage of Feathersat you, whichcan be extremely hard to dodge.As soon as you see themland next to one another, create as much space as possible.
AsFeathers travel further out, they will begin spreading apart,revealing gaps between them, allowing you tonavigate between themwithout taking damage. Youcan also try staying closerto them and utilizing yourDouble Jumpto avoid them, but that is much harder!
Ligaty - Succubi Triangle
Lowering their HP quite substantially will have theLigaty gather in the middleof the arena, forming aTrianglebeforepooling their energy togetherfor a big attack. However, if you have beenfocusing on one of the three Succubithis entire time, thiswon’t be much of an issueto deal with!
Adol - One Down, Two To Go
Again,if you have been focusing on a specific Succubi this entire timewhen you reach this phase of the encounter, you shoulddefeat the one you have been attackingnonstop up to this point. Defeating your primary target here will essentiallymake this attack a non-factor,allowing you to choose your next target!
Ligaty - Double Music Rings
Immediately after defeating the Green Succubus, theRed and Blue Succubiwilltoss out Music Ringsaround themselves. You canleap over the Music Notesto get near one of them, allowing you toland a decent amount of attacksbefore they shake things up again.
Every once in a while, theMusic Notes will be a bit more sporadically placed and movingabout, so be mindful of that, as theycan trip you up and deal substantial damageif you land on them!
Adol - Focus On Another One
It’s time tofocus on another Succubus.We chose theRed Succubusbecause herattacks can pack a punch,and we don’t want to deal with that risk. Again, you can choose whichever one you want, but the following attacks and strategies may be a bit different depending on the situation!
Ligaty - Music Ring
Following the first Music Rings, theBlue Succubuswillsend Music Notes forward by herself,creatingtwo rowsof them, making themharder to avoid.If you want, you canDouble Jump over them and begin attackingthe Blue Succubus for a bit, as theRed Succubus will be preparingtheir next attack!
Ligaty - Succubi Meteor Strikes
Now it’s time for themost irritating attack in the entire encounter,which canend your run instantlyif you aren’t paying attention. You mustdodge four back-to-back Meteor Strikesthat dealimmense damage on impactand create a sizable area of effect.
TheRed Succubuswill kick things off,flying high in the sky before soaring straight into the groundwith intense force, creating alarge explosion and shock wave.And once you think you have avoided it, theBlue Succubus will follow with the same attack.
From there, theRed Succubus will do another one, instantly followed by the Blue Succubus doing it again,totaling four devastating attacks in a row.Double Jump forward to avoid the firstMeteor Strike, thenrun straight across the arenato have them barely miss you, crashing into the ground behind you.Do NOT stop movinguntil the fourth attack has finished!
Adol - Two Down, One To Go
If you havesurvived the Meteor Strikes, you are essentially golden,as you canfocus on attacking the Red Succubusagain, likelydefeating them in only a few hitsif you’ve been attacking them this entire time leading up to this moment. Now, there isonly one leftto go!
Ligaty - Blue Comet
With the Red Succubus defeated, theBlue Succubuswill perform aCometattack,similar to the one the Red Succubus did at the startof the encounter. It’snot as devastating as the Meteor Strikes,but you should stillavoid it,as it can be fatal depending on how much health you have left!
Ligaty - Blue Music Ring
Next up, the Blue Succubus will send outthree waves of Music Notesaround herself.Some will be in a straight line,whileothers will be groupedtogether, withsome being entirely out of place,making it hard for you to get in.Double Jumpover the notes into anopen areaandbegin attacking herto deal considerable damage!
Lastly, the Blue Succubus willunleash a volley of Blue Feathersat you, justas she did at the start of this battle.They will beavoided the same way,and you can evenDouble Jump behind her to avoid them if you’re quick enough,allowing you toland a barrage of attacksof your own.
Thesethree attacks are pretty much all the Blue Succubus hasaccess to, so you will berepeating the steps above until she is defeated,which shouldn’t be too hard, considering you took down the other two. Don’t forget about yourDouble Boost,either, as itreplenishes your HP and raises your Attack and Defensesubstantially!
