What Do You Need To Build A Pool?

Building pools in Planet Coaster 2 doesn’t have to be hard, but if you’re not sure where to start, it can take some trial and error. To build a pool, open up the pool tabin the browser.

You can select a premade pool here or you can design one yourself. Regardless, there are a few things you need to ensure your pool operates smoothly and that your guests can access it.

Without these features, guests are unlikely to use your pool for long, if at all. You canfind the filtration system under the utilities tab, and different buildings in the facilities tab.

You can also hire additional lifeguards to cover breaks and shift changes.

Everything else can befound in the pool extras sectionof the pool tab.

You’ll need toconnect the water filter and pumpto have them operate, and you’llneed enough powerfor them to work. You can do this by selecting the custom option in utilities, then selecting theadd water pipeoption.

Connect them like you would a power generator and power distributor, making sure thatthe pool is within range of the device. From there, the pool will function by itself until a mechanic is needed for regular maintenance.

Make sure toschedule regular maintenanceso that the pool doesn’t get shut down or abandoned by guests!

How To Build A Custom Pool

To build a custom pool, select the create custom optionin the pool menu. This will bring upthe pool tools sidebar, where you canselect the side, shape, and pathof the pool. You can alsochange the depth of the pool from shallow to wading, swimming, or diving.

You canuse the rounding tool to smooth out any edgesby lining up the brush with sharp corners and walls.

Selecting the color palette icon will bring upmore customization options for your pool’s appearance, including the tiles used in the water and the edging along the outside.

In the third tab, between that palette and the bulldozer, you canchange the options for a lazy riverso long as you have water jets installed in the pool.

How To Build Flume Rides

Flume rides are the most exciting part of the pool process. There areseveral you’re able to unlockas you progress through the main campaign. Flumes can start wherever you’d like in the park, but theymust end over a poolso guests can drop into the water safely.

Theheight at which they drop doesn’t seem to have a limit, so long as they hit the water. Get creative!

There are two main types of flumes available from the start. The first isthe body slidewhich isopen on all sides and can only go straight. There are no twists or turns with this attraction, but guests still love it.

The second available slide isthe body flume, which resembles the traditional water slide withan enclosed tube and many curves. This option is more expensive, but you have more creative freedom–likeloops and special drops.

Regardless of the type of flume ride you create, you’ll need toplace an end piece in or above the pool, then test the ride like you would a coaster before you can open it.
