If you take the time to help Uncle Sunan inIndiana Jones And The Great Circle, he’ll reward you with stories and legends from around Sukhothai. One of these is the tale of a golden fishhook, lost in a cave to the northwest. By now, you probably expect that recovering the treasure won’t be easy, but the challenge is very different for this Fieldwork mission.
Finding the hook requires going on a vision-quest of sorts, one that will test your memory as well as your puzzle-solving skills. If you’re truly Lost In The Past, this guide will bring you back to the present.
How To Start The Lost In The Past Fieldwork Mission
Lost In The Past becomes availableafter you finish The Kid Who Vanished.When you tell Uncle Sunan that Aran is safe, he’ll invite you to hear a story;talk to himto see a cutscene where he tells Indy about the golden fishhook.
The cave where the hook is hidden isat Wat Sa Si, to the northwest of the village. Instead of pulling up to the main dock on the south side of the island,go to the northeastern sideto find a secondary pier. From there, you canuse the whipto climb over a wall to the rear of the enemy camp guarding the ruins.
Going over the wall also drops younear a radio frequency cardif you haven’t already collected them all.
After you’re in the camp,turn rightand carefully make your way to the stone wall at the edge. There’s avery small hole at the bottom that you can crawl through, with no enemies on the other side. Once you’re through,enter the temple ruinsahead.
Take thenote on the crate to the left of the entrance, thengo down the stairs. Use one of the sledgehammers nearby tosmash the bricked-up doorwayat the back of the room, revealing the secret Nephilim shrine. On your way through,take a picture of the giant skeletonon your right.
Squeeze through the tight passage at the end of the corridor to reach the Prayer Wheel chamber. Start bytaking the passage on the rightto find an Ancient Relic, then climb back down andtouch the Prayer Wheelto be transported back to Marshall College.
How To Solve The Lecture Hall Dream Puzzle
This version of the college is an endless loop;keep following the hallway counter-clockwiseuntil you get back to your office door. Go inside andtalk to Marcus, who will give you theMessage From The Past.Note the order of the objects in the photo, thengo back into the hallway.
Follow the corridor counter-clockwise again until thelecture hall door opens on your right.Go inside and move the objects from previouos adventures to the position shown in the photo you got from Marcus:

When all three objects are correctly placed, the blackboard behind the desk will change to show the Adamic word “Heh-zam-eesh.“Take a picture of it, and Marcus will move out of the doorway, letting you leave the room.
How To Find Room 11
Back in the hallway, keep goiong counter-clockwise.Talk to Nawal each time she appears; after the third time, the door to the Infirmary will open. Inside,answer the telephone, then collect the paper on the deskwith the Adamic “Gira’ahn-matu,” then leave the room.
Outside, you’ll now betraveling clockwise through the halls.Go until you reach a dead-end, then turn around. When you turn the corner, you’ll see apedestal with a note telling you to find Room 11.Follow the corridor,talking to Marcus and reading notes as they appear, until the door to the storeroom opens, revealing theSacred Woundspuzzle from the Vatican.
How To Solve The Cross Puzzle In The Dream
Take the wine bottle next to Antonio andpour it into the basin in front of the fresco.The solution to the puzzle isthe same as it was when you solved it before; set the levers to2 for each hand, 3 for the chest and the foot on your left,and4 for the foot on your right.
Go inside the room behind the mural andtake the Journal.Doing so will turn the room upside-down; follow the path back out andspeak to Marcusonce you’re in the hallway again.
Traveling clockwise from Marcus will take you to apedestal with a bronze X on it.Take it and keep moving. You’ll need toclimb over doorjambsnow that you’re on the ceiling.
When you reach a pedestal with aVon it,climb over the branches ahead of you.Immediately to your right is a doorplate with an I.Place the X on the plate to form the Roman numeral XI, or 11. Now that the room is number eleven, the door will open and you can go in.Take a picture of the “Heh’k-dashu” glyphon the blackboard, then go back out the door.
How To Escape The Guardian Giant
When you step outside of Room 11, you’ll find your hat on a pedestal. Taking it will spawn theGuardian Giantfrom Gizeh. You can’t fight or avoid him; your only option is toturn around and sprint down the corridor where Room 11 wasuntil the dream ends.
If the Giant catches you, you’ll start over from picking up your hat, but there are no other consequences.
How To Get The Golden Fishhook
Back in the Prayer Wheel Shrine, you may nowrotate the wheelsto match the glyphs that you saw in the dream. All you need to do isturn each wheel until Indy says the Adamic word. From the starting positions, the fastest way to get the correct combination is:
Once the wheels are positioned, the monument willrecede into the ground, allowing you to take the Golden Fishhook from on top of it. Leave the way you came andreturn to the village.Giving the hook to Uncle Sunan will reward you with a very useful 800 Adventure Points.
