InDisney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll interact with a variety of Disney and Pixar characters. Each of them has a unique questline and a variety of friendship rewards for you to unlock. To get these characters, however, you’ll have to do some work.
When you unlock the Wild Woods, you’ll start a short series of quests that reveal more of Maleficent’s schemes. By completing the Fairy Tale Trial hidden in the woods, you may even make a new friend–one of her top lieutenants! Here’s everything you need to know to complete this Fairy Tale Trial and rescue a new villager from the clutches of corruption.
How To Complete The Wild Woods Fairy Tale Trial
When you open the portal to the first Fairy Tale Trial, you’ll have the chance todive in and explore a fragmented part of Maleficent’s castle. Head inside andexplore the dark dungeon-esque area, using your Royal Tools toactivate spinning wheels and break rockslittered about the floor.
As you head into the main chamber, you’ll find a large door blocking your path. Behind it is the Wolf of the Wilds, who you can speak with. They attempt to send you away, but it sounds more and more like they aren’t who they say they are, but you can’t prove it–yet.

Where To Find The Wolfish Slippers
Todisprove what big feet the Wolf of the Wilds has, you’ll need to head into thechamber to the west.Clear away the inkies to reach the room filled withvibrant green symbols. Each of them has a number above them, which correlates to the order they need to be placed in.
The large locker in theback of the room has four panels, and you’ll need to interact with them to change the symbols. Arrange the symbols in the following order:Wolf, Castle, Dragon, Star.
With this combination, apair of wolfish slipperswill pop out of the locker.Pick them upand head back to the main chamber.
How To Make Eau De Wolf
Clear apath up the stairway to the northeastin the main chamber.Activate the spinning wheelhere, then head through the open door. Inside, you’llfind a cooking stationand several shelves with vials on them.
Arecipe sits on a pedestalin the middle of the chamber. It has the following clues for you tobrew a recipe for the perfect wolf-ish musk:
With these hints in mind,head over to the shelvesto pick out your ingredients. You’ll need tograb Wolf Fur, Oil, and Woodland Pine Fragrance.
Put everything together at the cooking station tobrew a wolf-ish musk of Eau de Wolf. you may head back to the main chamber for the final puzzle.
How To Get The Howling Gramophone
Here, move to the door with a glowing symbol on the floor. Use your shovel to change the symbol so that it matches the one on the wall, which should be a castle. Doing so will open the door and allow you to progress into the next chamber.
This begins the sub quest, Not By The Hair On My Chinny Chin Chin!
Inside arepiles of bricks, sticks, and straw. You’ll need to arrange them in furniture mode to solve the puzzle. You’re given the following hints:

In the first construction zone,place something that’s the easiest to blow away by huffing and puffing.
In the second,place something just a little bit sturdier.
Place the sticks in the second construction zone.
In the third,place something that no big bad wolf could ever blow down.
Place the bricks in the third construction zone.
Once everything is in place, the curtain at the back of the room will disappear and you cangrab the Howling Gramophone. Take everything back to the Wolf of the Wilds to confront him.
After a few moments, they’ll come out and reveal themselves, havingshaken the spellMaleficent put on them. you’re able to nowinteract with the corruption in the wolf’s den–which will complete the Trial and send you bothback to the Wild Woods.
How To Build Flynn Rider’s House
Once you’re back in the Wild Woods,talk to Flynn about the next stepsto stopping Maleficent. He’s willing to help, but he needs a house first.Open the furniture menu and place the foundations, then interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign to pay for the home.
It willcost you 10,000 Star Coinsto build, but then you can officially welcome Flynn Rider to your village.Talk to himto conclude the quest and begin your new friendship! There’s more in store for you in the Storybook Vale, so keep your eyes peeled.
