How To Complete Shadow Pursuit
Shadow Pursuit is a series ofcombat levelsin which you and the love interests willchallenge and defeat Pumpkin Magus. There arefour stagesof Shadow Pursuit and each one hasthree difficulty levels.
Completing each stage at different difficulty levels will reward you with different reward amounts. Thehigher the difficultyof the stage, themore Lantern Materialsyou will earn.
In all the combat stages, you cancreate your own combat team. Youaren’tlocked to any one companion. Even if you have Sylus selected on the main event page, you may still use Zayne to complete the combat stages if you would prefer.
Each stage offersdifferent Lantern Material types, but all stages will have amaterial cap. Additionally, each day of the event will havedaily material caps.
Materials and Cap Amount
January 25
Additionally, you will collect each of the Lantern Material typesthrough different meansduring your battle.
Regardless of which Lantern Material you are collecting, we recommenddrawing the fight out as long as possiblewithin the window that you may reasonably defeat Pumpkin Magus. This is because he willdrop more materialsthe longer the fight progresses.
you may getLantern Material I(the confetti falling from the sky) fromPaper Dreams,Lantern Material II(bamboo tubes) fromCrackling Blessings,Lantern MaterialIII(the glue bottles) fromClingy Fortune, andall threefrom the final level,Spring’s Flourish.
Paper Dreams
Paper Dreams is thefirst combat stageyou can complete. After completing combat encounters in Paper Dreams, you will earnLantern Material Iwhich can be exchanged in theLantern Workshopto purchase lantern components.
Pumpkin Magus willshoot firecrackersinto the sky during your fight with him. To win this stage, avoid the firecrackersthat fall from the sky by stayingoutside of the red guide circleson the ground.
Dashingat the last minute willchargeyour companion skill.
Pumpkin Magus will alsolaunch Lantern Material Iinto the air. This material looks likecolorful confetti. You need to collect this confetti bystanding in the green circleson the ground when the confetti falls.
Both you and your companioncan collect confetti, so try to run to a different spot than your companion when Lantern Material I lands.
Crackling Blessings
Crackling Blessings functions similarly to Paper Dreams in the sense that you mustcollect Lantern Materialsas they are dispersed into the environment. However, instead of collectingLantern Material IIfrom the sky, you will need todestroy Firework Tubes.
During the fight,Firework Tubes will spawnaround you. Usually, only one or two tubes will appear. To open the tubes, stand behind themwhen Pumpkin Magus is charging hisPian Bao attack. When hisattack hits the tube, it will explode and send Lantern Material II into the combat field.
You and your companion must thencollect the Lantern Materials— which look likedried bambooshoots.
Clingy Fortune
InClingy Fortune, Pumpkin Magus will summonGlue Turretsin battle to try and defeat you. Bydestroying these turrets, you will earnLantern Material III.
Pumpkin Magus will spawn more Glue Turretsas he loses HP,but you can milk the fight a little bydirecting your attacks on the Glue Turretsrather than Pumpkin Magus himself. Each difficulty level willincrease the strengthof the summoned Glue Turrets.
Once you have destroyed a Glue Turret,Lantern Material IIIwill explode onto the field.Bothyou and your companion cancollect these materials.
Remember thateach difficulty levelhas a differentmaterial collection cap, withEasylevels only allowing you to collect amaximum of 25materials,Mediumallowing only40 materials, andHardallowing50 materials.
Spring’s Flourish
Now that you’ve gotten a hang of the past three combat stages, it’s time tocombine what you’ve learnedfor the final stage, Spring’s Flourish. In Spring’s Flourish, you’ll useall of the techniquesyou practiced in the previous levels to collectall three typesof Lantern Materials.
Unlike the past three stages, youwon’t earn a new Lantern Material type, instead, you will have a chance to catch a little of each type, making this stage a great way toreach your daily level capat once.
You can earn up to amax of 20of each Lantern Material type in theHard difficultysetting. You need teams of memoriesaround level 60to complete this stage easily.
To earn Lantern Materials in this stage, you will need to collect Lantern Material Ifrom the sky, have Pumpkin Magusdestroy Fireworks Tubes, anddestroy Glue Turrets.
This stage ismuch harderthan the first three as you’ll need tocoordinate your strategyin a short amount of time. The best technique to use is to prioritize Lantern Materials in the following order:Lantern Material I, Lantern Material III, and Lantern Material II.
This means that you should grabLantern Material I firstas it falls to the ground the quickest. Usually, Pumpkin Magus will summon both a Glue Turret and a Fireworks Tube.Aim to destroy the Glue Turret firstas it presents more of a threat to your team.
Then finally, since theFireworks Tubesare immobile and non-threatening unless destroyed, destroy them last.
How To Build A Lantern
Once you’ve collected yourdaily cap of Lantern Materials, head to theSupply House and Lantern workshoptobuild your lanternwith the help of your companion.
To build your lantern, you need topurchase lantern parts. Head to theSupply Houseto exchange yourLantern Materialsfor lantern parts.
You must purchase parts in the following categories:Shape, Color, Spokes, Tassel, and Decal. Each category hasfourpotential options to choose from.
To buy lantern parts, select the part you want andexchange the appropriate amount of Lantern Materialsfor it. You will need towait 10 minutesfor each Lantern part, but if you have the Diamonds to spare, you canpay 20 Diamondsto speed up the delivery process.
