Each season ofFortniteintroduces a story to follow with the in-game characters, allowing players to engage with their storyline. With the release of Chapter 6, Season 1, this season is no different, offering its own set of story quests to complete.
These quests usually begin with finding a specific character or gathering intel on something new featured on the map, and then progress from there. In this season, you’ll need to investigate the demons appearing and the strange masks that you may have already encountered.
We’ll update this article once the remaining story quest is released.
Kendo’s Calling
Stage 1 Of 6
The first part of theKendo’s Calling questis to find and meet Kendo. He is locatedon the northeastern edge of Nightshift Forest, near the waterfall.
To make this easier, you can go to the Quest tab andtrack the quest, which willplace a marker on the mapto help guide you. This tip works on all quests, so use it when needed.
Once you approach the location, you’ll find Kendo fighting a demon.Help him defeat it, theninteract with himto continue the quest.
Stage 2 Of 6
After your interaction with Kendo, you will receive a follow-up quest thatrequires you to damage demons. These demons can be found around the map, includingNight Rose,Shogun X, andothers roaming the open world.
By opening your map, you’ll be able to spotwhite symbolsthat mark their locations.
Simplydamage them using any weaponto complete the objective.
Stage 3 Of 6
For the third stage of this quest, you will need toplace Spirit Charms at three different locations.While the map shows more than three possible spots, the best way to complete this quest quickly is tohead to the Magic Mosses area.
In this area, you’ll find thethree locations that are nearbywhere you can approach, interact, and place the Spirit Charms.
Stage 4 Of 6
Your next task requires you tocollect five Residual Essencesfrom three different locations:Shogun’s Solitude, Warrior’s Watch,orDemon’s Dojo.
Since Demon’s Dojo is a boss area, it’s likely to be a hot drop, sowe recommend heading to Shogun’s Solitude or Warrior’s Watch, as they are both close to each other.
Once you reach any of these areas,look for blue spirits that you can interact withto collect them. Be sure to gather five in total.
And don’t worry - if needed,you may collect these souls across separate matches.
Stage 5 Of 6
This stage is similar to Stage 2, but this timeyou need to eliminate demons instead of just damaging them. After eliminating a demon,it will drop an essencethat you need tocollect.
Since you need ten of them, we recommend heading toDemon’s Dojo, where the boss fight against Night Rose takes place. As long as Night Rose is alive,her shades will keep spawning, making it easier for you to collect the ten essences you need.
You do not have to initiate the fight against Night Rose for the shades to spawn.
The only challenge is thatmultiple players might land in this area, making it difficult to complete in one run. But feel free to do it at any other location you feel more easier for you.
Stage 6 Of 6
The final part of Kendo’s Calling requires you totake the essence you’ve collected and give it to Shadow Blade Hope. She is located to the southeast of the map, in theHopeful Heightsarea.
Interact with her and choose the option togive her the collected essence. Doing so willcomplete the Kendo’s Calling story quest.
Jade And The Mask
You need tocomplete Kendo’s Calling in order to start the Jade and the Mask story quest.
Jade and the Mask is the continuation of Kendo’s Calling, and it begins byspeaking to Kendo at his location.
Choose the option toask him about the Dark Magic, and this will start the quest series.
The objective marker will update onthe portal near Kendo, and you will need to interact with it to continue the quest.
After obtaining the new information, you need tofind Daigo’s underground hidden workshop, which is located in theMasked Meadows. But first,speak to him at his location.
Once you’ve spoken to him, head inside the same house where he is, thentake the stairs down to reach his hidden workshop. In the workshop, you need to investigate four items:
After interacting with all four items in Daigo’s underground hidden workshop, you need tocollect one of the masks located just to the left of the strange machine.
This will drop both Oni Masks, so be sure topick up one of them.
This stage requires you to make a choice, butit doesn’t affect the quest progress.
You can eitherdrop the maskyou collected oruse one of its abilities.
For the final step, make your way to Kendo in his usual location and interact with him. Choose the option toask about Jade.
After the conversation,this will complete the Jade and the Mask story quest.
The Great Turtle
The Great Turtlestory quest requires you to finda strange turtle that changes locationeach matchand interact with the character,Ryuji, who is located on its shell.
After that, you need tofree the turtle from the dark magic thorns, and that’s pretty much it.
Splinters Of Possibility
To kickstart the Splinters of Possibility quest, you’ll need tospeak to Kendo about Hope. He can be foundon the northeastern edge of Nightshift Forest.
As usual, you’ll find him fighting demons, sohelp him defeat themand theninteract with himto progress.
The next stage requires you toplace Spirit Charms in three different locations. All three are located justslightly north of where Kendo is, east of Twinkle Terrace.
Simply approach each one andinteract with themto complete the task.
Next, you need to find anduse a Fire Mask during the dayora Void Mask at night.The easiest way to complete this is by heading to the area where you placed the Spirit Charms.
After interacting with all of them, you’ll findboth the Fire and Void Masks there. Simply pick up the Fire Mask andshoot four fireballs to quickly complete the task.
You can still find the Oni Masks elsewhere; this is just the quickest way to do so.
Once this is done, you’ll move on to the second part of this stage, which requires you tocollect the first Meteor Splinter.
To obtain it,head southwest to Shogun’s Solitude. In the center of the location, near the portal, you’ll finda purple stone.Collect it, and this will complete Stage Three.
For this part, you need to head toNightshift Forestand solve three riddles.
In this location, you’ll findthree fox statues that you can interact with, and each one will have a riddle that you need to answer correctly.
Just like the previous stage, once you successfully solve all three puzzles, you’ll need to finda second Meteor Splinter.
This one is located to theeast of Nightshift Forest,near the vault. verify to pick it up.
Now, you need to locate andcollect a map from a defeated demon warrior. These demons can be found anywhere on the map.
To easily identify them, open the map and look fora white symbol of a samurai.
Head to the location,defeat the demons, and the map should drop. If it doesn’t, simply move to a different location.
Once you finish this part, you’ll need to find thethird and final Meteor Splinter.
This time around, it’s locatedat the center of the Maze Garden, south of Masked Meadows.
The final part of this quest requires you toplace all three Meteor Splinters you collected on the Spirit Forge. This location can be foundat the Demon’s Dojo, specificallyjust below the bridge leading to the boss fight against Night Rose.
Once you place all three Splinters there,hold the interact button to craft the Splinter Blades. After crafting, pick them up and take them to Night Rose.
However, before you can deliver the Splinter Blades, you first need todefeat Night Rose.
Once defeated,she will transform into an NPCyou can interact with. Choose the “Deliver the Splinter Blades” option to complete the Splinters of Possibility story quests.
Found Quests
Demons Have Been Seen Near The Thousand Faces Shop
As the title says, you need tospot the demon activities near the Thousand Faces shop, which is locatedat Masked Meadows.
You can go to the Quest tab, select Story Quest, and scroll down until you find it. Then, selectTrack Quest, which will put a marker on your map.
As soon as you approach this location, you’ll find thespot where you may get the Typhoon Blade. All you have to do island near it, and you will earna free level.
Help Doughberman Defeat The Demons!
This is a direct follow-up to the quest above. As soon as you land here, you’ll be able tospot the character Doughberman getting attacked by demons, and what you need to do ishelp him defeat them.
You’ll facefive waves of enemies:
After you defeat all the demons, Doughberman will express his gratitude byspawning a rare chest for you, which will complete the quest.
The Spirit Realm
The first quest in the Spirit Realm story requires you to place spirit charms to investigate a mysterious crater.Northeast of the Twinkle Terrace location, you’ll findthe crater along with multiple spots where you’re able to place the spirit charms.
Simply approachthree of these locations and interact with themto place the spirit charms.
For Stage two, you need tohit opponents at different Named Locations, and this will likely complete itself naturally as you play.
If you want to finish it in one game,get a vehicleandtravel from one Named Location to another. Simply hit an opponent with your weapon at three different locations -there’s no need to down or eliminate them.
This quest requires you totrack traces of the comet that has fallen into the mountain in the western area of the map.
If you open the Quest tab and track this quest,you’ll see multiple markers to investigate, but youonly need to examine three.
We recommend thethree markers east of Canyon Crossing, as they are relatively close to each other.
Now, with the investigations you’ve completed, you need toreport to Kendo at his location. He can be foundon the northeastern edge of Nightshift Forest,near the waterfall.
Interact with him andselect the Spirit Realm option to continue.
Stage Five requires you todamageShogun Xto make his essence appear, thencollect it.
This boss doesn’t have a fixed spawn location. The island where he appearswill spawn in the second half of the match and be marked on your map.
Simply head to the island,hit him, andquickly collect the essence he drops.
Be careful, as he can deal significant damage. If you don’t want to engage in a full fight,focus on grabbing the essence as fast as possible.
With the essence in hand,head to Hope, locatedin the southeast of the map in the Hopeful Heights area.
Interact with her andselect the Spirit Realm dialogueoption tocomplete the Spirit Realm story quest.
