Ys X: Nordicsfeatures a variety of costumes for each of the two main characters that can drastically enhance their looks. The game introduces costumes quite early on in the story by providing you with a free outfit for Karja. However, it isn’t till later that you’re able to access more outfits unless you have the DLC.
While these costumes don’t provide any stat benefits, some of them do look incredibly cool. If you don’t have any DLC downloaded, you’re able to still purchase a few outfits from the shops in the game by progressing the story.
How To Get Outfits
Most of the costumes and outfit accessories in the game can beacquired via the DLC. If you have downloaded any costume DLC, you will first have to follow these steps toacquire the costumes from the DLC itemsin your inventory before you can equip them:
How To Change Outfits
Aside from the costume, you can also equip up tothree different accessoriesfor your characters from the Cosmetics section. Once you’ve obtained the outfits, you can equip them byfollowing these steps:
Adol and Karja wear different outfits and hairstyles. However, all other outfit accessories can be equipped for any character.
How To Change The Ship’s Cosmetics
Alongside the outfits for the two main characters, you will also receiveseveral cosmetic items for your ship, the Sandras, from the Sandras Pack DLC. However, dressing up the ship is quite different from simply changing the outfits of your characters.
You can change your characters' costumes from anywhere, but to dress your ship,you’ll have to head over to a shipwright, such as Ulvar on Balta Island. After accessing a shipwright’s shop, you’ll have to follow these steps tochange your ship’s appearance:
