The Northstar Serpent is a large, mythical fish added toRobloxFisch for the game’s new winter update. The ‘Fischmas’ update added new fish, bobbers, rods, boats and more to the ever-popular Roblox fishing game. Out of everything new added, the Northstar Serpent is by far the biggest prize - an ultra-rare fish with an incredibly low chance of appearing. You might recognise it as the Gargantuan Leviathan from Subnautica!
There are a few things you can do to help improve your chances of catching this rare fish - this guide covers where to fish for the Serpent and which bait and rod to use.
Where To Catch The Northstar Serpent
The Northstar Serpent can be caught in the frigid ocean around the new event area, the Winter Village.
You can instantly teleport to the Winter Village by using the Winter Globe in your inventory. Just equip it on your hotbar and then click on it to be instantly teleported to the event area.
You can access the ocean by heading south of where you spawn in the village, although the sea is accessible on all sides of the island.
How To Catch The Northstar Serpent
The Serpent is an ultra-rare fish - it has a-90 percent progress speed,which makes it one of the rarest fish (and hardest to catch) ever added to the game.
There are reports in the community that even with aRod Of The Depths, Merlin’s blessing, and the new limited-time Holly Berry bait, the fish is still extremely difficult to catch (sometimes taking an entire day of fishing before landing a bite.)
Don’t feel too bad if it’s taking a long time to catch - this is amega-rarefish.
The Holly bait is a new limited-time event bait that can be purchased at the Winter Village - it has a greatuniversal luck bonus of 30.
You can also get Holly Berry bait from the new crates added for the event.
We also recommend waiting for an Aurora Borealis world event (or purchasing a totem yourself in the Brine Pool), as this might be the extra luck you need to catch the Northstar Serpent.
you may purchase a 30% luck boost from Merlin on Sunstone Island for 5,000 credits. This lasts 10 minutes, but it does stack.
