You meet Locus right at the start ofIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, fighting him in the halls of Marshall College. However, that’s not the final time you see him as he continues his own search for the cat statue that Indy wants to return to the school.

Each of the times you fight Locus in The Great Circle, the mechanics work a little differently. You’ll need to be aware of your surroundings and familiar with the ways Locus attacks. If you’re struggling with how to beat him, you’ll need some tips on what to do and how to stop him from knocking you to the floor over and over again.

Fighting a giant in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

First Locus Boss Fight

The first fight, in the museum room of Marshall College, is straight forward. You actuallycannot beat Locus. You will punch him a couple of times before he grabs you, and a cutscene begins.

You will grab his medallion and take a look at it before he knocks you out and runs off. Once Indy comes around, you chase after him and take his medallion from a broken window he’s escaped from.

Second Locus Boss Fight

The second fight is a little more complex, taking place in the storage room of The Vatican.Locus will chase you around the roomwhile Gina finds items and throws them towards you.

To beat Locus, you have two options. First, you can just fight him with your fists or objects lying around the area. Much like any boss fight in the game, you need to be patient. Each time youattack Locus, only do soa maximum of two times. If you strike three times, he’ll counterand deal damage. Keep attacking, and you’ll eventually knock him down.

Alternatively, you’ll noticeGina is throwing things toward youduring the fight, sometimes hitting Locus and sometimes flying over his head. If you’re quick, you cangrab them out of the air and hit Locus with them to deal extra damage.

Third Locus Boss Fight

The final Locus fight is actually one of the most simple. The big change is that it takes place in a small arena in Sukhothai, andLocus is a lot more aggressivein his attacks. Therefore, you need to be dodging as well as parrying.

The best way to approach the fight is todo big circles of the stage, walking backward as Locus approaches you. When he lurches forward to attack you or grab you, dodge back to be further away from him.

Then, hit him a maximum of two timeswhen he’s just walking. Attack any more times than that, and he’ll hit you back.

You’ll need tododge further than you might expect. The hit detection is a little strange in The Great Circle and Locuscan reach you from further away than his punches go.

You’ll need to hit him quite a few times to beat Locus in this third fight, but keep at it. You’ll knock him down eventually. The relationship between Indy and Locus soon changes.
