During the peculiar Hildibrand Quests inFinal Fantays 14, players will have the chance to fight one of the series' most iconic villains: Gilgamesh. The fateful encounter is held at the Battle on the Big Bridge Trial, the very same name as Gilgamesh’s trademark soundtrack. And more impressively, it does happen on a big bridge.

This fight is unique when compared to all the other Trials you’ve faced so far (and many you’ll still face in the future), but there’s nothing to worry about. Greg has it coming, so it’s time to give him exactly what he asked for.

After pushing him down to 40%, Gilgamesh runs away from the battle and drops a bomb at the center of the arena. Ignore the bomb and chase him.

Gilgamesh starts running at 40 percent health, so it’s time to get him. He’ll summon some Crossing Bateleurs and Crossing Hippocerfs to annoy you, sohave the tank gather all of them and kill them with AoEs as fast as you can.

Once they’re all down, you can finally face Gilgamesh again. He uses all moves from the first phase, with just a few new tricks. But more importantly, his debuffs can now apply to multiple players at once, so beware!
