While some of the pre-designed rides Frontier has made for us all to use inPlanet Coaster 2are great, building your own is where the heart of the game is. However, making them yourself means you also need to add flair to the ride yourself. Once again, that flair comes in the form of scenery.
Much like you can around any part of the park, you’re able to add bushes, lights, and more directly to rides and their surroundings. There are some limitations on which scenery fits which rides, so some of the larger scenery pieces may not fit on some of the smaller ride elements. Otherwise, you can dream up any decoration you’d like.
How To Add Scenery To Flat Rides
First of all, you need to have added a ride to the park using the Custom ride creator to make the most of the scenery options. Any blueprint will have scenery already attached.
Once you have done so,select the ride and tab across to the second tab from the end, which looks like a paint pallet. Then, you’ll spot an Attach Scenery option at the top of that page.
Select thatand the Scenery menu will pop up, allowing you to select from a variety of options and add them to the ride and the surrounding area.
You’ll be able tochoose between lighting effects, pyrotechnics, bushes, railings, and much more, making the flat ride fit the theme of the rest of your park.
With many of the flat ride blueprints being Viking or loosely Planet Coaster themed, they often won’t fit your park. Therefore, making your own with the custom tools is the best thing to do.
Why You Should Add Scenery To Rides
Beyond simply making your rides prettier and more fitting with your park’s theme, there are other reasons to add scenery to your rides. Those reasons come down toguest preferences and the prestige of your park.
Adding scenery willincrease your Scenery Rating, which is one of the four factors that goes into your overall Park Rating. Scenery that’s classed as prestigious and visible to guests will count towards that rating, so adding it to flat rides is important.
The higher your Park Rating, the more likely guests are to want to spend money and the more visitors your park will attract.
