This includes your Sycom, which is a unique robotic node that follows you around, buffing and nerfing certain stats your Breaker has. Before diving into each and every run, you’ll want to make sure you review your Sycom and its stats so you know what advantages and disadvantages you’ll have.
But, how exactly do Sycom stats work? There’s a lot of different flavors at play with each and every Sycom. Experimenting with different playstyles and different Sycoms can hep tailor a run to each player. So, here’s everything you need to know about Sycom stats.

What Is A Sycom?
Sycoms are the little floating robots next to your Breakerthat you’ll see on your run.Each Breaker has its own set of Sycomswith varying stats to choose from.
Each Sycom also has its own special perk, detailed in the description.
For example,your starting Breaker(named Vermillion)has two different Sycom optionsto choose from.

Gunslinger
When a Rail deals a critical hit, the next shot will also be a critical hit.
Good overall damage, and excellent critical hit damage.
Excellent defensive build and surviability without sacrificing critical hit damage.
What Are A Sycom’s Stats?
Each Sycom hasnine core stats. These vary in importance, andsome are unique to Hyper Light Breakerwhile others might be more familiar.
Let’s break these down intostandard stats and unique stats.
Standard Stats
Standard stats are more familiar to most gamers, andcomprise the basic elements of your build. For Sycoms, there arethree standard stats.
Determines your damage resistance.
Stam
Determines your stamina, and the amount of dashes you can perform.
Unique Stats
Then,there are six unique statsthat are relativelyspecific to Hyper Light Breaker’s gameplay. These stats determine Breaker specific builds.
What It Does
Batt
This determines your maximum battery capacity. Batteries determine how many shots you can fire with your Rail before needing to recharge.
This is your Breaker’s Blade proficiency, determining their melee damage.
Blast
This is your Breaker’s Rail proficiency, determining their ranged weapon damage.
Crit Chance
Your breaker’s likelihood that they will deal a critical hit whenever they attack an enemy.
Crit DMG
How much damage your Breaker will do when they deal a critical hit.
OPS
This is, in essence, a luck stat. This stat determines the rarity of items you will find on your runs and the chance to deal higher damage on various attacks.
How To Upgrade Sycoms
A Sycom’sstats are upgradeable.you may do this at the Telepadin the Cursed Outpost before each and every run.
However,Sycom upgrades require rare resources. to upgrade a Sycom, you need the following resources at your disposal.
Luckily,these upgrades are permanentand carry over in between cycles. So, there’s no need to be sparing.
As far as permanent upgrades are concerned, upgrading Sycoms is a good bet, as these will influence both your power and survivability in the Overgrowth.
What Sycom Should You Choose?
There are no hard and fast rulesto what comprises a better build or better Sycom stats. Choosing what Sycom is right for you comes down to one thing –it’s all about player style.
When you’re just starting out in Hyper Light Breaker, a tankier build is usually the safer bet.
This will ensure you may take a decent amount of hits, and make mistakes, without dying too quickly.
For example, ifyou’re someone who likes to get into close melee rangeand take on a lot of enemies at once,then Vermillion’s Tank Sycom is for you.
But,if you like dealing lots of damagewith the potential for brutal critical hits, then you shouldcheck out the Warrior Sycom, which is ascribed to Lapis, one of the other Breakers in the game.
