Summary

Hollow Knightfans have been desperate for the smallest crumb of news aboutSilksong, trawling the internetin search of even the most minor of leaks or teases. After all that searching, it now appears as though they’ve found one, as Hollow Knight fans are currently in a frenzy over what many believe is an elaborate ARG set up by one of the game’s co-creators.

It all started whenHollow Knight fans spottedthat co-creator William Pellen had seemingly changed the name, handle, and profile picture of whatmany have come to believe is his throwaway Twitter account. His account previously had the handle @Wilboooo and the name Wilbop, but this was recently changed to @everydruidwaswr and Little Bomey respectively, while his profile picture was changed to an image of a chocolate cake.

Firstly, Hollow Knight fans took the picture and ran it through a reverse image search on Google, which led them to a recipe for the cake, which was created on Jul 10, 2025. Next up, fans quickly noticed thatthe most recent tweet made by this accounttold people that “something big is coming” and to “keep your eyes closed tomorrow”.

Hollow Knight Fans Are In A Frenzy Over A Potential Silksong ARG

It didn’t take fans long to find that the band Imagine Dragons used the latter phrase in a tweet teasing the release of the song Eyes Closed, which was posted on July 24, 2025. A lot of Hollow Knight fans also believe that the words “something big is coming” werea direct reference to the Nintendo Switch 2 revealand the dedicated Switch 2 Direct, which just so happens to be taking place on April 2 later this year.

The clues don’t stop there either. Hollow Knight fans then dived into the meaning behind the account name change to “Little Bomey”, and while there isn’t an exact match, they were quick to discover that it could be a reference to a particular brand of wine called a ‘Little Boomey’.A quick trip to Wine Searcher, and you discover that this wine dates back to April 2024.

Take a look into the history of Little Boomey, and you’ll then find that the wines are sourced from Adelaide Hills, which just so happens to be the city in which Hollow Knight developer Team Cherry is based.

It’s all incredibly elaborate, and seemingly a sign that Silksong may finally show up at Nintendo’s big Switch 2 Direct. Either that, or we’ve all finally lost it, we’re jumping at shadows, and we should all go back to being depressed. We won’t know for sure until April 2 finally gets here.
