Democracy has many enemies. The Socialist Automatons, the apolitical Terminids, and the tyrannical Illuminate will always try to shake the foundation of liberty and freedom, but it seems our worst enemy comes from within. Nothing hurts worse than the sting of betrayal, especially when you’re fighting together for Super Earth.
While the teamkilling issue has improved since launch, it seems that someHelldivers 2players are still finding themselves matched with others, or entire teams, that like teamkilling just for the fun of it. There are multiple ways to deal with such traitors, but fans on the Helldivers subreddit share their views on the best way to treat the traitors.
No Room For Treachery
Clearly frustrated with the issue,Infreeroamshared a video of some other players shooting at and throwing stratagems at them as soon as they landed onto the planet. The comments section noted that this is unfortunately just a part of the game, and you’re bound to come across some players who, unfortunately, like playing that way.
“Just leave the mission. It sucks, but these people exist and want to make that your problem. You only give them joy by sticking around, suggested one comment. “Nah, be petty. Make them run out their reinforcements TKing one another, then see if you may kill them all and leave, forcing a mission failure,” said another.
While this was the theme of the thread, the real fun was in how creative some players got while giving it back to teamkillers. “I’ve played for a year. Lvl 120. I’ve had 5 deliberate friendly team killing. But 2 were in the last week. I just killed them back, tossed their samples, and left. But 5 instances in a year isn’t too bad.” It seems failing the mission and tossing samples is the best way to get revenge.
However, some comments said that the best way to avoid this is to take matters into your own hands. “This is why I always host! I’m not about to waste 15-20 minutes just so something like this can happen.”
