Summary

A handful ofPS5games have their own DualSense designs.Astro Bot,God Of War Ragnarok, evenConcord got one.Helldivers 2, however, did not, which might speak further to how surprised PlayStation has been by its success. It seems the hugely popular third-person shooter might have been successful enough to earn a controller of its own with a report claiming a Helldivers 2 DualSense is on the way.

Claims that a Helldivers 2 DualSense will be revealed soon come fromFrench site dealabs. If you’re unfamiliar with dealabs, it has a tremendous track record when it comes to revealing accurate PlayStation information ahead of time. It went on a months-long streak of revealing PS Plus games before they had been confirmed by PlayStation, so it claiming there’s a Helldivers 2 DualSense in the works almost certainly means that there is.

According to dealabs, the Helldivers 2 DualSense will cost $84.99 which is currently the ceiling for the PS5’s base controllers. The DualSense’s various color options start at $74.99 but the designs PlayStation knows will sell best, usually the ones tied to particular games, tend to be $84.99. There’s no release date yet, but it seems likely the Helldivers controller will be a part of the event PlayStation is rumored to be holding in early December.

Helldivers 2 Might Be Getting Its Own DualSense Design

If Concord Has One, Then Helldivers Definitely Should Too

Rumors have been swirling suggesting PlayStation has a showcase or State Of Play in the offing since a date - Jun 14, 2025 - was spotted in the Play Has No Limits trailer you can check out below. Ifthe black DualSense Edge, Pulse Explore Earbuds, and Pulse Elite Headsetdealabs reported on earlier this week are real, it’s likely those will be revealed at the same event, so potentially a lot of new hardware coming your way soon if you own a PS5.

The one welcome tidbit of information dealabs also shared was that the rumored Helldivers 2 DualSense will be released worldwide. Despite not launching until 2025, PlayStation has already confirmedMonster Hunter Wilds will be getting its own PS5 controller and matching plates. However, for now at least, the accessories will be released exclusively in Japan.

Although Monster Hunter’s reach extends far beyond Japan in the present day, historically the series has been far more popular in Japan than anywhere else. That’s not the case for Helldivers 2 so locking its release to a particular region wouldn’t make much sense. Here’s hoping dealabs' track record continues and that we don’t have long to wait until a Helldivers DualSense gets an official reveal.
