Summary
WithHades 2officially in Early Access, gamers across the globe are diving intoSupergiant Games’roguelite sequel to the critically acclaimedHades. Because it’s in Early Access, the game is subject to multiple updates ahead of its official full launch, with gamers consistently going through whatever is new.
Already,we found out via some hardcore Hades fans that if you opt to equip Athena’s Divine Dash ability, then the goddess will absolutely roast you for taking the easy way out. If you equip the ability, Athena will then say: “Your brother’s favorite.” That, of course, is in reference to the ability being one that Zagreus had access to in the first game.

However, in this latest batch of fan discoveries, there’s a bit of confusion when it comes to unlocking the final aspect. In other words, fewer roasts and more frustration.
So How Do We Do This?
As first spotted on Reddit, a Hades 2 player has managed to max out all the available upgrades, reached the final boss multiple times and has spoken with Achilles multiple times. Still, they haven’t managed to unlock the Aspect of Achilles.
As it turns out, unlocking that final aspect is a matter of more than just maxing things out or completing a run. It actually requires multiple runs for the relevant dialogue option to present itself, according to a fellow player. In other words, it’s more about luck than it is about any predetermined method.
“It’s dialogue based, not achievement based, so you’ll probably have to go a few more runs and chat with the NPC’s until someone says what you need to hear,”one user explained.
While some, including the OP, might find it inconvenient, others argue that it helps make the game feel more alive. “The fact you have to talk around with people helps it feel more like an actual secret than just unlocking it through conventional means,”one user wrote in part. “It’s not a “bad design choice” that you have to do something out of the ordinary to get a secret and hidden aspect.”
Well, there you have it. If you, too, are stuck on this aspect (no pun intended) of Hades 2, then just keep playing. It’s really that simple, or not, since it’s a roguelite.
