Summary

It’s been a year sinceRockstar debuted its first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6and since then, we’ve not really been told much else. GTA 6 still has a release window of fall 2025 attached which, if hit, will mean the wait between games will have been 12 years. That wait has been agonizing for some, including whoever’s behinda new listing on the PlayStation Storethat pokes fun at the eternal wait for the next GTA game.

Since the potential release window of GTA 6 is still at least ten months away, it doesn’t have a listing on the PlayStation Store yet. However, as spotted byGamesRadar, if you search for GTA 6 on the PS Store, you will be met with a result that matches the criteria. A game called Grand Taking Ages 6 will be among the top results.

Grand Taking Ages. GTA. Get it?

Knowing how well Rockstar incorporates satire into the Grand Theft Auto series, at first glance, you might think this is the studio having a laugh at its own expense. There’s even artwork on the page’s banner that could pass for something pulled from a GTA game, although there’s a very real chance it has been AI-generated. If this is something Rockstar has done to make fun of how long it’s taking to develop GTA 6, it’s very well disguised.

Grand Taking Ages 6’s developer is listed as Violarte which appears to be a Polish company that was created very recently. The studio’s sitefeatures other parody games, but clicking their store links just reloads the homepage. As for the PS Store page, the GTA parody is described as being “The most anticipated game about making the most anticipated game,” claiming that its creation will put you in charge of creating GTA 6 and thus have you determine whether it’s a disaster or a masterpiece.

Much like the real GTA 6, Grand Taking Ages doesn’t have a firm release date. Its devs have just promised it will be here before the game it’s making fun of. The store page even has quotes from fake reviews, noting that they’ve been pulled from a parallel universe in which the game has already been released.

you may wishlist Grand Taking Ages 6 on the PlayStation Store right now, provided its page hasn’t been removed by the time you read this. Even if there is a game based on the development of GTA 6 behind this, which seems highly doubtful, a game with a name that can be shortened to GTA 6 isn’t going to be left to its own devices for very long.
