Disney and Marvel have beenpretty huge contributors to Fortnite’s vast swathe of crossoversover the years, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Fortnite is reportedly crossing over withMarvel Rivalsat some point this year.
This is according toTwitter user Wensoing(backed up by Fortnite insider Shiina), who claims to have found an image of the crossover on the Marvel Games website. This image features Marvel Rivals lead character Galacta surrounded by various gems and crystals, each one with a name of a game over the top, as this appears to be a collaboration with several of Marvel’s ongoing live service titles.

Alongside crystals with the names Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Puzzle Quest, there are also crystals with the names Marvel Snap and Marvel Rivals on them too. According to Wensiong, this is a big collaboration between Fortnite and Marvel that will kick off during the “Chronoverses Collaboration” event, which you’d assume would happen before the release of Marvel Rivals next month.
Unfortunately, since this announcement appears to have leaked ahead of time, we don’t have many details to go off. We have no idea exactly what these collaborations will entail, what’s going to be added to Fortnite from them, or when it’s going to kick off. It’s also worth noting that the image itself no longer appears to be on the Marvel games website, so it’s clear the event wasn’t ready to be announced.
Whatever comes from the collab, this will be some pretty good marketing for Marvel Rivals either way, which is looking to make a splash when it launches on December 6. Early impressions were pretty good from the game’s closed beta earlier this year, andeven more characters such as PsylockeandMoon Knight have been announcedand added in the game’s downtime. It’s likely to be a fairly one-sided collab though, so don’t go expecting Jonesy to be added to Marvel Rivals any time soon.
