Summary

Fortniteplayers are having a surprisingly tough time with the OG game mode, with some fans complaining about “sweats” and saying they’re making it too hard for casual players.

Just a few weeks ago, Fortnite decided toend the year with a bang just like it did in 2023 by introducing Chapter 6, Season 1. As exciting as that’s been so far, it’s not the only thing Epic has brought to the table,as it also made the incredibly popular limited-time Fortnite OG season a permanent game modejust a few days ago.

Now, instead of only having a month to get their Chapter 1 nostalgia fix,Fortnite players can just jump into the OG mode whenever they wantand go back to when things were simpler (not counting the improved movement, of course). Well, that’s in theory anyway, as there have been a lot of reports of OG mode being too full of “sweats”.

Fortnite OG Is Perhaps A Little Too Full Of Skilled Players

Over on the Fortnite subreddit, Redditor TheFactory100 shared their thoughts on the Fortnite OGseason so far, noting that it’s “not any fun” due to all of the sweats that can be found in matches. From their experience, even though they admit to not being the “best player”, they can barely last more than five minutes during an OG game.

While I’m not surprised at the reports of sweats in one of the most popular online games, I play Fortnite a lot and have still barely managed to stick around for long in OG.

Fortnite has always had sweaty players whose bullets are somehow stronger than our own, but it does seem to be a bigger issue for Fortnite OG, with lots of players agreeing (even if they aren’t surprised) in the thread that it’s too difficult to play right now. This was seemingly due to the lack of bots, something that’s been changed with a recent update that’s added them in.

Although a lot of players want things to be easier or for some skill-based matchmaking to be introduced, other Fortnite vets aren’t happy about the complaints, with one thread from Redditor Blackwytche noting that players are too used to bots and having things easy. Right now, there’s a pretty clear split between the community, and one that doesn’t look to go away any time soon.
