Earlier this week,a giant ice block was added to Fortnite, which confused a fair number of people. That was until we heard rumblings that Mariah Carey was going to be added at some point, and theinfamous video of Mariah being defrosted for the holidaysimmediately sprang to mind. It was pretty clear what was going to happen next.
Fortnite Has Added Mariah Carey As An NPC For Christmas
The moment that the ice block shattered wascaught by Fortnite insider HYPEX, who isalso wearing one of those atrocious Skibidi Toilet backblings. Fortnite really is a video game, huh?
In the video shared by HYPEX, we can see the ice block start to glow, followed by Mariah Carey screaming “IT’S TIME” in reference to her viral TikTok video. The block then shatters to reveal a Christmas-themed stage that none other than Mariah Carey is dancing on, while All I Want For Christmas is playing in the background.
On top of Mariah’s entrance, a few items have also been dropped into the Fortnite shop relating to Mariah, including a couple of Mariah skins. One is of her outfit she’s wearing on stage, while another is a golden dress. There’s also an “All I Want For Christmas” emote that you can grab too. Fortnite is now officially a game in which you can get shot by Mariah Carey, and if that isn’t a Christmas miracle, I don’t know what is.
