Summary

Fortnitedevelopers have a pretty fun sense of humor. Any developer that goes out of its way torecreate the Godzilla dunking memeis one that has my respect for its tomfoolery, and there have been plenty of instances in which Fortnite devs have added one or two things to have a little fun at the expense of its fans.

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1probably has one of the most dastardly tricks of them all,as Reddit user S4HAND recently found outthat the game’s infamous ‘No Emoting’ signs have been slightly tweaked in a very cruel way. These signs have been used in the past for a few missions, asking players to either destroy them or dance in front of them in a blatant disregard for the rules of Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Now Punishes You For Emoting At “No Emoting” Signs

Fortnite would rather players follow the rules these days though, as S4HAND recently found out that these signs will now punish dissenters with the worst penalty possible. Upon reaching the sign, S4HAND whips out their trombone and starts tooting away, only for the game to get tired of the nonsense very quickly and catapult them off the side of the cliff, killing them instantly.

Yes, if you decide to emote next to the “No Emoting” sign, you will now be killed very swiftly for your behavior. Having been suspicious of the video itself, I hopped into a match earlier today to verify if this is actually a real thing that Epic added, and sure enough, my Default Dancing character was flung over the side of the cliff by an invisible force just like S4HAND was.

If, for some reason, you want to actually try this out for yourself and throw away a potential Victory Royale, you can find the particular sign that S4HAND and myself used just northwest of Foxy Floodgates. You should see it on top of cliff, surrounded by red barricades and cones. The warning signs were all there, really.
