There’s so much to do inPalworld, and you can’t accomplish it all alone. Without the help of your adorable and cool companions, the Pals, handling everything on your own would be tough. While the Pals in your base handle tasks like farming, mining, and electricity production, your team Pals provide a safety net during adventures and act as your weapon against tough opponents.
However, what about the Pals stored in your Palbox? These Pals can’t contribute to farming or join your team directly. Would you like to make better use of them and unlock their potential in new ways?
Expeditions, Explained
Expeditions are a method that allows you to send your Pals to gather items for you, making the Pals you’ve captured even more useful. The first thing you need to know to start Expeditions is how to set them up. To run an Expedition, you must have a structure called a Pal Expedition Stationin one of your bases.
To unlock the blueprint for the Pal Expedition Station, the first requirement isreaching level 15.Once you’ve reached level 15, you can build the Pal Expedition Station using the following materials:
x20
Paldium Fragment
x5
Once you’ve gathered all the required materials, you’ll be ready to construct the Pal Expedition Station. Keep in mind, however, that this structureoccupies a significant amount of space in your base.As such, it’s essential to carefully consider its placement.
Think ahead about the layout of your base and plan for the additional structures you may need to build in the future. This foresight will help ensure you have enough room for both the Expedition Station and any other facilities required to support your activities as your base grows.
After building the Pal Expedition Station, you can now send your Pals on Expeditions. Simplyinteract with the large gateway of the building.Once you do, the Pal Expedition screen will open. On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a list of possible Expedition destinations for your Pals.
These Expedition locations arelinked to Tower Bosses. Each time you defeat a Tower Boss, a new Expedition option will unlock. The Expedition at the top of the list is tied to the easiest Tower Boss, featuring shorter durations and more common rewards, while the options further down the list take longer and offer higher-quality rewards.
Below is a table outlining the unlock conditions for each Expedition:
Cave in the Grassland
Zoe andGrizzbolt
25
Lily andLyleen

Axel andOrserk
Marcus andFaleris
Victor andShadowbeak

When you click on an unlocked Expedition area, you’ll see the Pals stored in your Palbox. This means that Pals in your team or working at the base cannot go on Expeditions;they must be in the Palbox to be eligible. Each Pal you send to an Expedition has a Firepower stat, determined by their level and stats, reflecting their overall strength.
You can send up to 100 Palson a single Expedition. Each Expedition destination has a total Firepower requirement. The closer your Pals’ combined Firepower gets to this total, the higher the percentage of rewards you’ll receive. This means your Pals will return with more and better-quality rewards after the Expedition.
Sending Pals with a Firepower that exceeds the destination’s total Firepowerwon’t grant you additional rewards but can shorten the Expedition duration.
If you want to send your best Pals quickly, you can use the ‘Auto-Assign’ button to select the strongest team without manually picking each Pal. Once you’ve chosen your Pals, click ‘Start’ to send them on the Expedition.
Note that you’re not required to meet the total Firepower requirement. You can proceed with lower Firepower, but the quantity and quality of rewards will decrease accordingly.
Sending more Pals than the total Firepower requirement won’t earn you extra rewards, but it will shorten the Expedition’s duration. Targeting a high Firepower is beneficial for quicker Expeditions. Expeditions that require higher total Firepower also tend to take longer, and if you don’t exceed the required Firepower, they will take one hour to complete.
Additionally, all Expeditions except for the first destinationhave a required type condition. This means you can’t send Pals of random types on these Expeditions. Capturing Pals that match the required type for your desired Expedition will lead to more rewards and shorter durations. Below is a table of total Firepower and type requirements for each Expedition destination:
25,000
56,000
144,000
209,000
286,000
375,000
476,000

Keep in mind thatExpedition timers count down only while you’re actively playing the game.If you close the game, the timer will pause.
Normally, each base can host only one active Expedition at a time, soyou can’t build more than one Pal Expedition Station per base. However, if you build Pal Expedition Stations in multiple bases, you can run multiple Expeditions simultaneously.
