Age of Mythology: Retoldis a beloved strategy game among mythology enthusiasts, thanks to its unforgettable campaign and the wide variety of match types it offers. In the Retold version, there are significant changes not only in visual aspects but also in game mechanics.
Additionally, the Arena of the Gods game mode has brought a fresh new dynamic to the game, offering a distinctive experience beyond the traditional gameplay modes. As we approach the end of 2024, the game’s first event, the Holidaze Event, has been announced. For those curious about the details of this event, we’ve prepared this guide.
Holidaze Event Guide
The Holidaze Event covers both Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday themes. This eventfeatures a total of 12 challenges, with one new challenge unlocking each day starting from November 25. You can complete these challengesin either Multiplayer or Skirmish matches.
Challenge Types & Rewards
Some challenges require you to complete them in a single match, while others allow progress to be saved, meaning you can complete them over multiple matches. Each challenge you completerewards you with a new profile icon.
Event Duration
The Holidaze Event will runfrom November 25 to December 22, giving you plenty of time to complete all the challenges.
How To Check Progress And Unlocks
From the main menu, you can check your progress in the Holidaze Event and see when the next challenges will unlock,located to the right of the Multiplayer button.
How To Use Profile Icons
To use the profile icons you have earned, click on your name in the top-right corner. From the drop-down menu, select Profile. You can then change your profile icon by clicking on the square box in the top-left corner of your profile page.
Cosmetic Changes In The Event
Additionally, during this event, certain maps will feature turkeys replacing the usual chickens, and pumpkin patches will replace berry bushes. These changes are purely cosmetic anddo not affect gameplay mechanics.

Bella With a Candy Cane
Day 3
Train 25 Chariot Archers, 10 Camel Riders and 5 War Elephants as the Egyptians in any amount of Skirmish or Multiplayer matches.
Flying Purple Hippo with a Festive Fall Hat
Day 4
Cast at least 10 god powers as the Norse in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
Lazer Bear with a Festive Holiday Hat
Day 5
Train 20 Hero units as the Greeks in any amount of Skirmish or Multiplayer matches.
Summon a Titan in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
Sons of Sleipnir with a Fall Background
Day 7
Fully upgrade the Counter Barracks as the Atlanteans in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
UFO with Festive Lights
Day 8
Deal 1000 damage using myth units in any amount of Skirmish or Multiplayer matches.
Holdiay Caladria in a Ugly Sweater
Day 9
Collect a total of 5 relics in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
Curse Pig with a Fall Tiara
Day 10
Build a Fortress, Migdol Stronghold, Hill Fort and a Palace in any amount of Skirmish or Multiplayer matches.
Smugkantos
Day 11
Collect 2000 Food, Wood and Gold each as the Norse in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
Shocked Old Man
Day 12
Empower at least 10 buildings at once as the Egyptians in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
