Summary
A talented modder has righted one of the few wrongs withDragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s roster and added a character slot for GT Vegeta, who even has Super Saiyan transformations.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero does a lot of things right, but undeniably the thing that it does best is its absolutely stacked roster of more than 160 characters. That roster spans all of the sagas of Dragon Ball (well, only a little of OG Dragon Ball) andcovers pretty much everyone you’d want it to, from Frieza Soldier to Super Saiyan 4 Goku.
As great as it is that Sparking Zeroeven has any characters from Dragon Ball GT considering how long we all wondered if they’d be left out, it’s fair to say that it’s missing a few characters here and there.Ignoring Super 17, the biggest miss in my opinion is a non-Baby and non-Super Saiyan 4 version of GT Vegeta.
GT Vegeta Is Basically In Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
That cardinal sin has finally been fixed thanks to talented Nexus Mods creator ToastVrc, who recently put together a mod that finally adds GT Vegeta to the game. The mod cleverly works on the version of GT Vegeta that’s in the game through Baby Vegeta 1, but gives him his classic non-infected look.
Considering how Baby Vegeta is basically just GT Vegeta and could have been turned into a different variant of the character, it’s a wonder that he isn’t already in the game.
Sadly, that doesn’t include the moustache that he’s infamously rocking at the beginning of Dragon Ball GT, but the mod makes up for that by also including Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 transformations for Vegeta. This version of Vegeta can even transform all the way to the version of Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta that’s already in the game.
Each transformation also has its set of moves, all of which are pulled from various versions of Vegeta throughout the game, which is a nice touch. It really goes the whole mile when thinking about how GT Vegeta should be represented within Sparking Zero and, beyond the Baby-esque smirk, looks like the real deal.
Considering all of the above and how great the mod looks in motion, it’s basically the closest thing to GT Vegeta that we’re going to get for Sparking Zero and something that’s well-worth getting if it bugs you as much as me how often his base form is completely left out of Dragon Ball games.
