Summary

BioWarehas released a bunch of player stats, giving us an idea of how we’re all getting on withDragon Age: The Veilguard. Turns out, a lot of us seem to be struggling, as the deadliest mission so far is a fairly straightforward companion recruitment quest.

According to the stats, most recorded player deaths have taken place in Sea of Blood, the quest where you recruit Lucanis. Some fans are quite surprised by this, whereas others say they’ve probably contributed to many of the deaths themselves. For some, it seems that this is the game’s first difficult spike.

Recruiting Lucanis In Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is Deadly

Sea of Blood sees you travel to Treviso in Antiva, as you need to recruit a member of the Crows. However, when you get there, it turns out your man is being kept in a magical prison by the Venatori. You need to break him out, and it’s this part of the game that seems to be tripping up the most players so far.

Similarly, the deadliest enemy is also found in Treviso, but only if you make a certain story decision. Depending on your choices, you’ll be put up against Corius the Icetalon, a high dragon. According to the stats released by BioWare, this enemy is responsible for the most player deaths so far - which isn’t surprising, since it’s a huge boss to be thrown your way this early on in the game.

The stats go over more than just combat, however. As we previously covered, almost no one is playing as a dwarf, as they make up just six percent of all Rooks. Humans are the most popular at 42 percent, then elves at 40 percent, and qunari at 11 percent. As for the factions we’re going for, Grey Wardens and Shadow Dragons take the lead at 24 percent each, followed by the Crows, Veil Jumpers, Lords of Fortune, and Mourn Watch.
