Summary

Dragon Age: The Veilguarddoesn’t have a New Game Plus mode. UnlikeDragon Age: Inquisition, you’re able to’t even carry over collectables, meaning you have to find everything all over again once you start a new character.

However, one fan has already created a workaround.Nexus Modsuser Alkmaar999 has shareda modthat gives you access to three different save files, all of which are level 50 with all items unlocked. You’ll start out in the Lighthouse, but otherwise, you can play through the game at the level cap and with everything unlocked.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Mod Gives Us The Closest We Have To A New Game Plus Mode

As explained in the mod’s description, installing this will give you access to three new save files with all levels and items unlocked. There’s one for each class, so you can still choose which fighting style you want.

Of course, this is only useful to PC players right now, and those of us on console will have to wait and see ifBioWareadds some kind of New Game Plus feature natively. Dragon Age: Inquisition got this in an update which added the golden nug statue, which allowed you to share collectables across all of our save files. Just being able to share armour and outfits across all characters in The Veilguard would go a long way, since by the time you’ve found all of them, you don’t have much of the main story left.

This is far from the only essential mod that’s been created for The Veilguard. As we covered yesterday, the mod that gave Solas clown makeup in Inquisition has beenrecreated for the sequel. Finally, we can play through the story while pointing and laughing at how ridiculous he looks, which slightly makes up for him messing everything up at the start of the game. Slightly.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
