Summary
Dragon Age: The Veilguarddoes a great job at updating returning characters. Varric, Solas, Morrigan,Isabela, and even Dorian (despite the controversy) all look near identical, just a little older. But Lace Harding looks like a totally different person.
Fans are already working to fix this, but probably not how you’d expect. They aren’t redesigning Harding in The Veilguard, they’re retroactively updating herInquisitionlook.
Cue"Veilguard Lace Harding Hair", which replaces her Inquisition haircut with her Veilguard one. It’s a big step in making her more recognisable, although it doesn’t update her actual design.
So far, The Veilguard modding scene mostly consist of reshades, Rook presets, and cheats, so maybe we’ll see fans try their hand at making Harding look more like she did in Inquisition further down the line. For the time being, though, this is a good way to add some consistency to the series.

If you want even more Harding in your life, modder Shanamah created a younger version of our favourite Inquisition scout forDragon Age: Origins.
As we find out in Inquisition, Harding is from the Ferelden Hinterlands, just outside ofRedcliffe. So, this mod (which you can download here) places Harding and her parents in Redcliffe after it has been saved.
Much like Harding tells us, her dad is a trader and her mother is a seamstress, and the explanation for why we find them in Redcliffe is that they took refuge when the Blight started to escalate.
Harding has a few ambient lines ripped directly from Inquisition, and you can find her running around town with her bow.
If you’re planning to replay the series after The Veilguard, these are two great mods to expand on one of its best companions. Although, be warned, you’ll also be changing the haircut of some random dwarves here and there, Midnight Barber style.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the long-awaited fourth game in the fantasy RPG series from BioWare formerly known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. A direct sequel to Inquisition, it focuses on red lyrium and Solas, the aforementioned Dread Wolf.
