Summary
What if Elgar’nan was the friends we made along the way? Literally. As in,Nevewas secretly a big square-headed Evanuris who wanted to destroy the world. And so was Harding. And so wasDavrin. And so was—
That’s what modder Xynyxx has imagined, swapping out every companion and NPC inDragon Age: The Veilguardwith Elgar’nan. They even have unique variants, like an Elgar’nan with Manfred’s googly-eyed green goggles.
You candownload it here.
It’s a work-in-progress right now, since “most civilians are unaffected” by the strange spread of Elgar’nans. Which, for the record, is a bug.
Xynyxx wants to “turn everyone into Elgar’nan”, whether they’re a minor background character or play a pivotal role in the story. The only unique face you’ll ever see is Rook’s.
There’s a few upsides to using a mod like this. For one, everycompanion you romance will be Elgar’nan, so no matter what, you get a cute little scene at the end of the game with the tyrannical elven god. Another bonus is that you get to see him trapped in Solas' prison, pulling an incredibly cursed trickster smile.
Why Not Give Him A Barbie Makeover?
If that’s not enough Elgar’nan for you, Xynyxx has another mod —Elgy Recolors.
It does exactly what it says on the tin, recolouring Elgar’nan’s outfit with a variety of options, but my favourite is easily his Barbie-style pink.
Otherwise, you can pick up red and black versions, which are more in keeping with his usual aesthetic.
