Summary
If an IP, athlete, person or figure is popular enough and is also accessible enough, then you may bet your bottom dollar that it’ll likely end up inFortniteat some point. Over the years, everything from Dragon Ball ZtoJuice WRLDdown toeven Shaqhas joined the world ofEpic Games' free-to-play live-service shooter.
Now, it appears that another massively popular IP will be joining the Fortnite world. According to reliable insider, Shiina, aDemon Slayercollaboration is coming very soon.
Unfortunately, there’s no set date, though Chapter 6 feels like a good bet. There’s also no list of confirmed characters, but if we had to guess, the main quartet of Tanjiro, Inosuke, Nezuko and Zenitsu will likely be part of the bundle in some capacity. Either way, it represents another monumental get for the juggernaut that is Fortnite, one that has made anime an integral part of its brand.
Fortnite Is Basically A Working Version Of Jump Force
Beyond the upcoming Demon Slayer collaboration, Fortnite has had collaborations with the likes ofDragon Ball,Naruto,Attack on Titan,Jujutsu KaisenandMy Hero Academia. That’s basically every major series in the world with at least one available skin in the game.
Fortnite has also long been rumored to collaborate with One Piece at some point. Bleach would also seem to be a fair bet at some point, considering that it’s connected publication-wise to several other collabs via Shōnen Jump.
In other words, while Jump Force was not well-received and has since been delisted, Fortnite is still going strong. And with all the anime-related IP in its chest, it basically is what Jump Force wanted to be — a crossover game where people can play their favorite anime characters. Of course, there are guns and what not in Fortnite, but the point still stands. The future addition of Demon Slayer continues to hammer home that point.
