Summary
Dave the Diver received some pretty big DLCearlier this year when Godzilla came crashing into the game. The additional content is free and was released across all platforms on whichDave the Divercan be played six months ago. However, Mintrocket warned players at the time that the Godzilla DLC would only be available to claim for a limited time, and its availability window is about to slam shut.
The DLC dropped on June 22, 2025, and its six-month window will come to an end on May 31, 2025, so tomorrow. However, if you want the Godzilla content, you’ll want to claim it today as the window closes in the early hours of Saturday morning. 3 am EST, to be exact, so if you’re reading this before that time, you’ve still got a chance to claim it. If you’re reading this after and you missed it, there’s a chance you’ve missed it for good.
The team behind Dave the Diver hasn’t explained why the Godzilla DLC is only available for a limited time. Probably because the reasoning behind it is boring and revolves around legal jargon and licensing agreements. There’s a chance that it returns in the future, but there’s no guarantee, and there’s every chance that it has a price slapped on it if it comes back whereas if you claim it now, you get it for free.
Dave The Diver’s Godzilla DLC Will Be Delisted On Saturday Morning
Even If You Don’t Own The Base Game, You Can Claim The DLC On Select Platforms
There’s no reason you shouldn’t claim it for free right now if you own Dave the Diver and you haven’t claimed it already. Even if you’ve bought the game and never played it, or you stopped playing it months ago, you never know when you’ll get the urge to dive back in. I know there are some of you right now thinking there’s no chance you ever play it again, but come on, it’s free and potentially about to disappear for good.
Dave The Diver Godzilla DLC
WHERE TO PLAY
Dave the Diver’s Godzilla DLC does exactly what it says on the sardine tin. It introduces the kaiju to the hit 2D game and brings a whole bunch of new Godzilla-themed content along with it.
If you feel like you’ve seen a lot of Godzilla recently, that’s because the kaiju just turned 70. I know, he doesn’t look a day over 65. The iconic lizard has also teamed up with Transformers with Hasbro adding a Megatron x Godzilla action figure to its Synergenex line this week.
Dave the Diver
Dave the Diver sees you play the titular seafarer as he explores the Blue Hole, a colossal deep sea region, as he seeks the perfect ingredients for his upmarket sushi restaurant. Combining an adventure RPG with management mechanics, it boasts an incredibly satisfying gameplay loop.
