Summary
It appears thatCall of Duty: Black Ops 6’s massive January 3 update, which kickstarted the Squid Games collaborationand also fixed a number of multiplayer scorestreaks, has had the opposite effect when it comes to Zombies.
Rather, despite having noted that an issue “where Vermin could sometimes hit twice with one attack” had been fixed, it appears that nothing has been resolved.
Information about the update came by way of a user on Reddit, who shared a video of Vermin continuing to behave as they were pre-patch.
Vermin Have No Chill
Taking to the COD Zombies sub, a user showcased gameplay where they were clearly hit twice in one attack by a Vermin, essentially draining them of all their health.

As the thread pointed out, a single Vermin attack should only have the capability of dealing 67 damage to a player. In the video, the player has their health go from 180 to 113 to 46, meaning they were dealt two instances of 67 damage.
“There’s literally 2 damage markers on your front side after he hits you ‘once,'“a user wrote in response. “That’s crazy,” they added, noting that they had taken a break from Zombies for the time being.
To this point, Activision has not responded to the videos circulating online. It did, however, note that it was investigating the issue where the “Unicorn Fart” finisher was displaying incorrectly.Originally, it had appeared that the finisher was modified, though it will seemingly return as originally intended.
Ultimately, it will likely be resolved with a small update. However, it doesn’t make it any less frustrating for players, specifically because the camo grind in Directed Mode was also patched and subsequently nerfed, but the Vermin issue persists.
