Among a sea of complaints about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s maps, Stakeout was a shining light.
It’s one of the smallest maps in series history, allowing for frantic firefights, plenty of kills, and the ability to level up weapons and grind for gold camos a lot quicker. Up until recently, players could select the Stakeout 24/7 playlist, which, as you guessed, allowed them to play through the game’s different multiplayer match types on Stakeout exclusively. That was until Activision and Treyarch removed it.
It’s standard practice for the game’s developers to add and remove playlists throughout its life cycle, but this one has proven particularly unpopular among the player base.
Since its removal,dozens of threadsracking upthousands of combined commentshave cropped up on Reddit with players desperately asking for it to come back.

It was a sentiment echoed by many, with LonesuumRangersaying, “I mean, I understand why people don‘t like it, but it was also one of the most played modes, so by removing it, they just f**k with the player base.”
The calls got some angry responses from players, implying they had “brainrot” and needed “instant gratification”, a claim which others quickly rallied against. “People hating with the whole “brainrot” take… Shipment, Rust, Shoot House, Dome, virtually every COD had smaller chaotic maps. MemeManDanInAClan had some final words of encouragement for those pining for Stakeout,saying, " [When] Radioactive 24/7 [was live] everyone was voting for Nuketown so they made it in Nuketown 24/7, they’re clearly listening. My guess is that they don’t want another shipment situation where basically 99% of the player base is in 1 playlist playing one map .”
