Summary

Bully: Scholarship Edition is easily one ofRockstar’sbest titles, but for reasons we’re not currently privy to, it still hasn’t made the jump to modern consoles. If you want to play it without busting out old hardware, you’ll have to grab it on Steam, though that method comes with its own set of challenges.

Those of you that have attempted to play Bully on Steamwill know just how broken it is. It’s widely accepted that you need to download all kinds of mods and tweaks just to get it running properly, and even then, the game can experience frequent crashes, making longer sessions a real pain in the rear. These issues have been around for literally years, but it seems like the game’s addition to GTA+ earlier this year may have finally spurred Rockstar into action.

Bully: Scholarship Edition’s Broken Steam Port Might Be Getting Fixed

First spotted by Twitter user TezFunz2, it appears as thoughRockstar has added a development branch for Bully on SteamDB for the first time in a decade, suggesting that the studio is currently working on the title behind the scenes. Of course, none of this is actually confirmed just yet, though we should see what Rockstar is up to relatively soon.

Who knows, maybe Rockstar revisiting Bully will finally convince them to give a sequel a go, though I’m aware that’s a pretty hard cope.We know that a sequel was considered at one point, thanks to the massive Rockstar leak that took place in 2023, though it does seem to have been scrapped. At least we might be able to play the PC version relatively easily soon, and that will have to be enough.
