Summary
It looks likeGearbox Softwareis gearing up (we try) to release a new trailer forBordelands 4. But don’t take it from us. No. Take it from Randy Pitchford himself, who took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that he was “cooking up a new” trailer.
The trailer is so good, that even though Pitchford isn’t supposed to talk about it, he couldn’t help himself. In his words, he’s “freaking out.”
It’s unclear when exactly this new full-length trailer is set to debut, but withThe Game Awards set to air in just one week (Dec. 12), that could be a potential landing spot.Lest we forget that Borderlands 4 was originally revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live, another Geoff Keighley presentation.
Will There Be Gameplay?
Speculation aside, one thing fans want to know is whether this new trailer will have any gameplay elements. It’s hard to say, but Pitchford did respond to a fan asking if that would be the case, hinting at the potential.
The trailer will also seemingly showcase our new playable characters, as well as some “familiar faces,” according to Pitchford. “You’re going to have a lot to chew on,”he wrote in response to a comment.
As for a potential thumbnail, Pitchford didn’t hold back, posting a GIF of the end of the original reveal. That’s because, as it turns out,the beginning of this new trailer starts with frames from the previous one, per Pitchford.
Unfortunately, or fortunately if you’re Gearbox, that looks like all the info we’ll get before an official drop.
That said,it’s shaping up to be a better year if you’re a Borderlands fan in 2025 than it was in 2024. All we have to do now is wait.
