The latest round of rumors kicked off last night when Bloomberg journalist and industry insider Jason Schreier appeared on Kinda Funny Games Daily, telling the hosts that he knows of a couple of things that “definitely qualify as big announcements.”
But, while Schreier’s comments are likely to light a fire in the gaming world, he moved to quickly confirm that although exciting things are ahead, he wasn’t talking about the oft-requestedBloodborneRemaster.

“I know of a couple of announcements there that definitely qualify as big announcements. That said, big announcements are games that won’t be out for years. I think there’s a good chance you’ll see one or two teaser trailers for a game that is like 2026 or even later.”
These comments naturally generated hype, with them appearing on varioussubredditsand social media platforms.

But, while fans were quick to speculate as to what these games could be, with the Bloodborne Remaster one of the first names to appear, Schreier moved to crush their dreams and dispel that myth.
Replying to a comment on Reddit which said, “I think it might really be Bloodborne this time…” Schrier simply said, “It’s not.”
It’s another blow for gaming’s most deprived fan base in a year when their dreams have never been closer to reality, at least in their eyes.
