Back in August, programmers finally gotBloodbornerunning on a PS4 emulator, bringing the game to PC (at least, unofficially) at long last.
In just over a month, it went froma buggy, borderline unplayable buildto beingplayable from start to finish. It’s a huge leap for emulation, and brings Bloodborne to an audience who has been awaiting the modern FromSoftware classic for nearly a decade.
To show just how well Bloodborne runs now, Reddit user WetCardboardSmell- went as far as to platinum the game, becoming the first known player to do so on PC. It’s a herculean feat, going to show that not only is the base game in a good state, but so too are the Chalice Dungeons and all of the optional areas.

Having experienced everything Bloodborne has to offer, this player is in a pretty good position to answer questions about the state of the game on PC. In their opinion, “it’s much better on PC than on PS4” right now, and they believe that it is “only going to get better”.
However, you can’t search for specific glyphs in the Chalice Dungeons yet.
There are some impressive feats made possible via emulation that can’t be replicated on console yet. For one, the game can be upscaled to 4K resolution, and it can even be played in 60fps. Although, it’s far less stable.
However, given that huge strides have been made in the past few months alone, it’s only a matter of time before these issues are ironed out and we have the game running at a steady 4k60fps. For the time being, it’s in such a good state that you may earn every single trophy. That’s a far cry from the unusable character creation menu we saw earlier this year.
