Summary
With December in full swing,Treyarchdecided to join in on the holiday funby turning the fan-favorite and iconic Nuketown mapinto a snowy paradise. Its launch is part of a celebration they’re dubbing “CODMas,” and there’s a new limited-time mode, as well as a fun take on Infected to go along with some festive gear.
That said, the real treat is the snowy Nuketown map that has been renovated with Christmas lights, decor and snowmen all throughout. There’s even a Santa Claus flying through the air at the start of a match.
Except, it isn’t Santa himself. No. Instead, Santa has been replaced by a Zombie wearing a Christmas Wreath. Oh, and the Sleigh does not have Rudolph, but instead a pack of Vermin.
Check it out:
It’s a super fun twist on the typical Santa and Rudolph gliding through the air, but, as it turns out, it’s not the only major twist present in Holiday Nuketown.
Who’s Ready For A Snowball Fight
As discovered by aCall of DutyYouTuber, the snowballs present on Holiday Nuketown aren’t just for show. They can actually be equipped in your arsenal, and what’s more, they can even deal damage to opponents.
Per the video, simply press “X” when near a pile of snowballs and four will automatically join your inventory. From there, you can begin throwing them at enemies, where damage will be dealt and eliminations can even be scored. It appears that it’s a one-shot kill akin to a throwing knife. With December only just beginning, it remains to be seen what more fun things CODMas will bring, but, for now, these twists are certainly worth popping in for.
