Black Myth: Wukonghas been causing quite a stir since it was revealed. The gameplay promos got players hyped up way before it launched, and when it finally did, it was everything fans hoped it would be. Now, it has not only been nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards but has alreadywon the title of Ultimate Game Of The Year at the Golden Joystick Awards.
While that was obviously the highlight for Wukong fans, game director Feng Ji delivered another surprise in his acceptance speech. We already know that the game is getting additional content in January 2025, but the speech revealed that fans will have something to look forward to before the end of the year.
Black Myth: Wukong Fans Will Get A Surprise Later This Year
In his acceptance speech, Feng Ji thanked fans for showing their love to Wukong. “It’s your unwavering support and trust that have helped us overcome all challenges and hardships, allowing us to finally set foot on this uncharted territory. If you haven’t played Black Myth Wukong yet, you are in luck. Now you have one more reason to give it a try.
“Of course, you might have already completed our game. That’s perfectly fine too, Keep following us, and there might just be some surprises waiting for you later this year.”
There’s no word on what this surprise could be. We already know the game is getting a physical edition, and we already mentioned the DLC scheduled for early next year, so your guess is as good as ours. Perhaps Black” Myth Wukong could be getting an arena mode. Fans already love the flowing combat, and this would be a great way to keep practicing till the DLC launches.
While a lot of people loved the game Black Myth: Wukong has the lowest rating of any game to ever be nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards. That’s not to say that it doesn’t deserve its nomination. The game delivered a great spectacle, fun combat, and some elements that even popular Western triple-A titles have been missing.
