Much of your income inFarming Simulator 25is, unsurprisingly, going to be dependent on how many crops you’re able to harvest. Bigger fields are going to yield more crops, but they’re going to take considerably more time to manage, possibly requiring you to hire help in order to keep on top of it all.
Sowing more crops isn’t the only way to improve how many crops you get, once it comes time to harvest. Improving your yield is going to make a tremendous difference here, without requiring you to purchase more seeds, and without needing to expand your farm into more fields.
Liming Your Fields
Liming is going to be something you only need to do occasionally, which does mean it will be an easy process to keep on top of.
Every three harvests, your fields are going to be able to be limed. Liming requires a fertilizer spreader, specifically one that can be filled with lime.
An easy way to tell if your field needs liming is to simply look at the soil; it will say ‘Needs Lime’. Liming your field will net you a15 percent bonus to your yield.
Equipment Options For Liming
At the time of writing, there isonly one option for spreading lime, but there are attachment options you can toggle when purchasing it. These attachments aren’t necessary, but they make liming a field considerably more time-efficient.

Lime can be purchased from the shop, underYield Improvements>Consumables.
Fertilizing Your Crops
Fertilizing is one of themost multi-faceted options when it comes to improving your yield. There are multiple ways to gain fertilizer, and it exists in both solid and liquid state.
Fertilizer is applied specifically after sowing your field, as it’s technically applied to the crop, and not to the field. Fertilizing your plantsincreases your yield by 23%, and can be done twice on the same set of crops to double the bonus.
Equipment Options For Fertilizing
There are a lot more options when it comes toequipment for fertilizing your crops, and your equipment choice is going to depend somewhat onwhether you’re using solid fertilizer or liquid fertilizer(slurry).

Using slurry to fertilize your fields can be slightly more complicated. The first section is going to be slurry tankers; some of these can distribute slurry on your crops themselves, andsome of them require purchasing a sprayerto do that job.

How To Get Fertilizer
Fertilizer can be purchased from the store under theYield Improvements>Consumablescategory. Varying sizes of solid and liquid fertilizer are available.
You can alsocollect fertilizer from your animals, apart from bees. Depending on the buildings you’ve constructed for your animals, you’ll be able tocollect both manure and/or slurry, and directly deposit them into the tools you’ll be using to apply them.
Collecting fertilizer from your animals is themost cost-effective way to get fertilizer, but if you aren’t keeping any animals, buying it from the shop is a perfectly viable option.
Removing Weeds From Your Fields
Removing weeds technically isn’t going to improve your crop yield from its base value, but it isgoing to get rid of the penalty that having weeds in your field appliesto your yield. Harvesting from a field infested weeds can net a20 percent reduction in your yield, which is considerable.
Equipment Options For Weeding
There are three different ways to deal with weeds, each varying in efficacy and price.
Weeders and hoes are the cheapest option, but weeders only remove small weeds, leaving the big ones as a nuisance. If you keep on top of weeding and don’t let them grow past the first stage, the weeder is going to get the job done just fine. But if they’ve grown, the weeds are going to be more powerful than the weeder can handle.
Hoes will remove medium weedsas well, otherwise functioning the same as a weeder.

Your other option for removing weeds would be witha sprayer, using herbicide. Herbicide can be purchased from the store under theYield Improvements>Consumablescategory, and is loaded into a sprayer.
Sprayers have already been listed, and are located just above this section, underEquipment Options For Liquid Fertilizing.
Rolling Your Fields
Rolling is doneafter sowing your seeds, and improves your overall yield. Rolling has the added benefit of pressing smaller stones back into the ground, keeping them from damaging your vehicles.
Equipment Options For Rolling
There aren’t a ton of options for rolling, with only two. The more expensive option, theLandRoller, has a considerably larger radius, and is going to enable you to roll an entire field twice as fast.

Mulching Your Crop Stubble
Certain crops leave stubble behind after harvesting them. This stubble can then be mulched by a mulcher, providing a small yield bonus to the next crops grown in that field.
Equipment Options For Mulching
There are two different kinds of mulchers available in the shop; the variety that we’re after is in theSoil Cultivation section.

Improving Crop Yield With Bees
Finally, bees are going to increase your crop yieldon three kinds of crops specifically:
In order for bees to increase the yield of these crops, thebeehives need to be placed next to the fields with those specific crops. This is by far the most convenient way to increase crop yield, since it requires zero upkeep once the hives are placed.
Collecting Honey
Bees alsopassively provide honey over time, collected on the beehive honey pallet location. You can sell this honey for a profit raw, or process it further along with other ingredients into cereal.
