Using follow-up attacks is one of the most effective ways to playHonkai: Star Rail. It’s also seen continual investment, with new characters using the mechanic. Moze is a fantastic four-star addition to the roster, and can elevate follow-up teams or carry one on his own if necessary.

Moze fits into most follow-up attack team compositions, but his best teams should come as little surprise to most players.

Moze, Feixiao, Aventurine and Robin images in a line.

Aventurine

Sustain

Moze and Feixiao have amazing synergy, as you’d expect from close confidants who’ve worked together for years. And whileFeixiaois undoubtedly themain DPSin this lineup,Mozeofferssolid supplemental damagethat focuses on Feixiao’s primary target and isespecially effective in single targetscenarios.

WithRobin and Aventurinein the mix, fights canessentially go on auto-pilot,even without the auto-battle setting enabled, withMoze and Feixiao easily stacking multiple follow-up attacksbefore the enemy has time to act once.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Moze, Dr Ratio, Aventurine and Tingyun in a line.

Anexample rotationfor this team goes as follows:

If you don’t have Aventurine, both Lingsha and Gallagher can act as suitable replacements, with Lingsha being the optimal swap out given her own follow-up attack synergy.

Moze’s Ultimateis a “use when available” ability as opposed toFeixiao’s, which is more “use at the opportune time.” Moze gets more follow-up attack ability after using his Ult, whereasmost of Feixiao’s damage comes from hers, and it ignores Toughness.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Moze, Tingyun, March 7th, and Gallagher in a line.

As with any main/sub-DPS setup, bothMoze and Feixiao will needas muchCrit Damage and Crit Rateas you may give them, and if youreallywant to be efficient, you can make theirSpeed stats just below Robin’sso she can start the fight with a buff.

PlayingMoze with Dr. Ratio takes a different style of playthan with Feixiao, as the good doctor’s follow-up attacks are more dependent on debuffs and using his Ultimate to give himself additional follow-ups.

Youcould call this composition a dual-DPS setup, as Moze’s kit complements Dr. Ratio’s withdebuff application, and Dr. Ratio ensures Moze has access to plenty of stacks tocharge his follow-up attacks.

Apossible rotationfor this team is as follows:

Tingyun’s primary purposein this setup is toenable Dr. Ratioto use as many Ultimates as he can, because his Ultimate empowers his follow-up attack ability. Her Skill buff is a solid damage buff that can last much longer than usual, as one of its three stacks decays at the end of a turn, andfollow-up attack chains occur outside the standard turn rotation.

Aventurinedoes his standard sustain job, plushis Ultimate can increase Crit damagetaken by enemies.

Gallagher

Mozeisn’t just a good supplementary DPS. Hecan act as your main damage dealerif you lack the likes of Feixiao or Dr. Ratio, among other five-star follow-up attack specialists.

Yourdamage rotation with this team is a bit different, as you’re relying onMoze more as a hypercarry, and the rest of the team exists to enable and enhance his abilities.

Acycle with this setupcan be as follows:

Tingyun can be traded for Robinif you have her, or evenBronya, but any other top-tier support can do a good job.

The goal in any hypercarry team is tomake your main DPS as powerful as possible, and both Tingyun and Imaginary March 7th are here to do that for Moze.

Gallagher can be an awkward sustain, especially outside of Break teams, but he isby far the best four-star healer, and outclasses some older five-stars, as well.
